Yes! That one works!
I got a BIOS update screen and after that a screen with
BIOS Indentity Data Recovered, The BIOS had recovered its identity data from the EC due to data mismatch.
What was the trick?Comment

Great . The last trick was updating the bios to the latest version thats all, there`s a ton of fixes: https://support.hp.com/gb-en/drivers...Id/ob-216775-1
To recap, i removed your password,then cleaned the ME ,then updated the bios. I could have done all that in one go but its not usually needed if flashing back to the same machine.Last edited by SMDFlea; 10-09-2018, 04:43 AM.Comment

Hello,
I'm using TONGFANG "GM7TG7P" model laptop for over 3 years and i'm entering the same bios administrator password everyday. My laptop has Aptio BIOS (American Megatrends, AMI).
But today it's not accepting my password. I'm %100 sure i'm entering the correct password.
I'm trying to reset my bios without success.
I tried :
-I removed the BIOS battery and main battery. Waited for a long time but it didn't work. They already stated in the user manual that the password will not be reset even if the batteries... -

I'm encountering an issue with my Lenovo X1 Yoga 5th Gen laptop related to the BIOS supervisor password. I'm seeking assistance and guidance from the knowledgeable members of this community in resolving this problem.
I am no expert and cannot perform soldering or unsoldering of the chip from the board. Therefore, I attempted to use an EZP 2023 programmer with a clip to extract the BIOS bin file without removing the BIOS chip from the motherboard. Hi Everyone,
I'm facing a problem with a locked bios with a password and i can't find how to remove it...
The small computer is only booting on a M2 ssd Windows partition and i get a "signed partition error" if i try to boot on the same SSD with another Os (linux for example).
