I think my bios is corrupted as the fun is running at full speed and the laptop get very warm.
Could you please look at this bios and correct it if necessary.

Hi,

Have been given an HP Elitebook 745 G3 with locked BIOS.

Would like to reprogram the BIOS Chip BUT, it's a FLAT BALL CONTACT type not the typical SOIC type with legs. There appears to be no type number on the chip but the PCB has leg pads for the SOIC type.

Can I remove the ball type chip and replace it with a standard Winbond W25Q16DVSSIG_8P or similar chip?

Thanks for that, I'll see if I can get one, maybe Ali Baba?

Would be easier to replace the chip though I have some SOIC type chips, just need to know if I can replace with them before I remove the wson 8 chip.
