Hi all,
Please could someone advise me on the following attachment?
The chip is labelled as a Winbond 25X40CLNIG (suspected datasheet attached).
1. I am wondering if this chip should have 4.2v on pins 7 and 8 and 0v on all other pins during normal operation? Those readings are not the 3v I expect. Also I thought pin 1 should have power to it when it is operational.
2. If this is not normal, what should I be expecting on each pin? I see that the datasheet says 4.6v is the absolute maximum voltage rating.
I am trying to investigate an issue with a NVidia GTX 970m graphics chip in the laptop due to it freezing and locking up when the graphics card is engaged.
I suspect this chip to be a video BIOS chip and want to establish it's normal voltage reading to see if it is part of the problem.
Regards,
MATT
