by mferna14Hi friends., I am working on MacBook Pro A2159 touchbar 2019. The old logic board was liquid spilled so I ordered another logic board from AE. Received it & all worked fine till I got to the Chinese login screen where the login screen password tobe entered. I tried to reset the password but it again gave me options which I do not know about the Apple ID. I formatted the onboard SSD. & wanted to change the startup boot sequence but in order to change it, again the password is needed for that too. Is there a way to get rid of this password?? by ritaloHello,
I have a MacBook Air 13 inches 2014.
I have set a EFI password and I can't remember it : now I want to reinstall macOS and I can't because the MacBook is asking for the password.
I know how to remove the password with a usb programmer.
I plug the usb programmer to the motherboard and to my pc with usb, I read the EFI and I save it to a file.
Then I have to find this value in the file : $SVS because it indicate where is the password.
But I can't find the value.
I have attached the file
Thank...-

by brcontaHello,
I have a macbook Early 2015 A1502 EMC 2835 820-4924-A.
Whenever I try to update the system the device dies after reboot. It only comes back to life if the battery is disconnected, and then connected again (energy drain). Apparently the firmware update fails.
I can install High Sierra normally, but I can't install a newer one.
I can use a disk with a newer system that was installed on another machine.
I've already tested another chip and another bios file, but no effect.
Boot ROM: MBP121.0177.B00
SMC: 2.28f7
