Have you tried already to press just ENTER key when asked for KEY? AFAIK the files on this forum are patched to accept any KEY, unless you got the file from other source.

Actually I downloaded a patched bios here. It still asks me to insert a key.

Thank you very much for the help. This modified file works, I only have to insert a 7 digit key.

The patched original locked bios doesn't work. It beeps with tpm error and LCD doesn't turn on.

Maybe someone can help me.
I have a Lenovo T550 with a Macronix MX25L12873L BIOS chip.
I created a BIOS dump using autopatcher.
Reading, writing, no problem.
When I start the notebook I hear 5x beeps 5x beeps and only see "to interrupt normal startup press enter" that was it. Enter does not work.
Maybe someone can edit the original dump to make it work.
The same Lenovo T550 with Winbond chip is no problem.

I had the same problem on a Lenovo T450s (Winbond 25Q128FV).

I tried the following steps:

1. Tape down the temper switch and remove the hard disk (I forgot it the first time).
2. Re-flash the patched binary and started the notebook. The patching process didn't even start ans it looked like nothing was done. Maybe because TPM was already reset. Therefore, I don't know if this step is really needed.
3. Re-flash the original file.
4. Powered-on the notebook.
5. After I saw it started correctly I removed the tape from the temper switch and installed the hard drive again.

After this steps all worked fine again.

I think it was just a fault of the ch341a programmer I used or simply the SOP8-clip wasn't attached perfectly to the chip while flashing back the original bios binary.

Hello, i need to find a solution for my T480, it came with a bios password i used the autopatcher and now after i flash the original dump it makes a sound 0285 TCG-compliant functionality-related error. I atttached the original dump with password. Thank you

I finally managed to get rid of that error, i used another dump for T480 with a different version of ME, and i used the https://github.com/corna/me_cleaner to clear ME now it works fine. (i tried to clean me of the original dump but with no success.
