Apologies if this is the wrong forum, but I'm not looking for a specific BIOS file, I'm trying to understand how one makes a clean BIOS file. So here's the background. I have 2 HP EliteDesk 800 g2 mini 35w pcs. One is working fine; the other doesn't have display out or working USB's nor does it have any flashing error lights. The CPU does get worm enough to cause the fan to spin up, so I think it's posting, but I just don't know. I had it working at one point but trouble started when I tried to put in a drive caddy that had a cooling fan on it. I thought it would be compatible but wasn't... -
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to modify my BIOS to unlock the advanced menus and unlock the processor power limits. The first thing I have tried is reading the BIOS from the laptop and opening it up in amibcp, and changing the advanced menu to User. However, no matter what tiny change I make to the BIOS, when I flash it back to the laptop with a programmer it says there is corruption and the BIOS needs to be recovered.
I've also tried rolling back the BIOS to an older version. I made the mistake of updating to the latest version and now I cannot even edit the CFG and OC... -
Corrupted BIOS (no WIFI, graphics drivers crashing, USB port reset request failed, etc)
Working BIOS (taken from 15.0.41.2158_CON_LP_B_PRD_EXTR_AB7F54AC but I fixed some FLEX I/O for sata ssd and GPIO VCCIO config for this model)

Problem is blinking power led only
i don't know exactly if it's s145-15igm or s145-14igm
have a backup bios file but i dont know the serial.. coz text already erased at the back of the cover

S145-15igm - success with serial and some other info in bios but still not booting on OS
already tried installing new windows but always booting on bios setup
