Hello guys, I am relatively new to bios programming, but I try to get deeper, I hope you could help me. I have a piece of art 500$ programmer that I do my job most of the times, right now I am stuck in a laptop with dual bios chip I guess. Model is Toshiba Satellite C50-A-19T, it has 2 bios chips, 25Q16BVSIG and 25Q32BVSIG. I have downloaded the latest insyde bios from Toshiba site in .fd format, renamed the .fd file to .bin file, and reprogrammed succesfully the 25Q16BVSIG chip. The laptop had some common bios failure function with blank screen and some leds, but now it turns on by itself on ac adapter insertion blinking all the leds. Any help would be helpful, I ve never occupied with a laptop with dual bios chips.

post your .fd file that you get from toshiba, i will split for you,
and more better if you post your old backup bios (4mb and 2mb) too.

Re: Toshiba C50 Dual Bios programming
Here are the file"s you need all new updates even ME REgion. You will find the 4MB file and the 2MB file just make sure you load the correct firmware in each chip. So you know the next time always original file is needed so when asking for a bios file always upload original this is how you know where to cut out the correct size file's out of the update...I could do it without original because i'm doing this so long.
enjoy

Re: Toshiba C50 Dual Bios programming
The laptop is up and functional, special thanks to techman1025, but all these seem really weird to me. Could anyone explain to me how should I see the original separated bios files, to send them to you? Should I export them from each original bios chip? I haven't found any functions of exporting data files from bios chips in my programmer's GUI application.Seing is Believing
