Extracted the ROM/BIN files (w/ 7Zip) from the original BIOS from Toshiba. They are the same (hash check) with those from post #3. For some reason the original Phoenix flash tool updated the discrete graphics BIOS version on an UMA board. Manually flashed it using RT809F programmer. Working fine.

You need a programmer such as TL866ll and desoldering skills. First, find and identify your own Bios chip, desolder it (some people can use a clip, I cant) make a backup with programmer, write the bin file given here, and solder it back again, test it. If it doesn't work, try another bin, or the failure might be elsewhere, reinstall backup. Check for Bios voltage going in too, before doing all this.

Thanks for the answer. Is there a way to boot on USB stick and force failed BIOS replacement? This is for Toshiba Satellite C660D

I personally do not know how, try to google it. Most video problems on older computers are related to video card overheating, try the low heat method, 2 min at 130 degrees C. DO NOT use a heat gun, temps are waaaay to high, and do not "cook" it inside oven, youtube has lots of videos doing that.

The problem comes from a failed bios update. This is why I want to know if this is possible to reinstall bios from a USB stick.

As others here, I flashed my Toshiba with wrong BIOS version. C660D-14C. I was stupid enough to flash with a BIOS from the Toshiba website for a slightly different model (C660D-14V vs. 14C). Restarted to a blank screen
Reflashed with the UMA BIOS version from Ala Borbe. Worked like a charm! Thank you, bro

@ Krist: I don't know if you can flash with a USB stick. I reflashed with a CH341a programmer. Google it or PM me if you need more info.

                                          Hello,

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....

                                          Hello,

I'm using TONGFANG "GM7TG7P" model laptop for over 3 years and i'm entering the same bios administrator password everyday. My laptop has Aptio BIOS (American Megatrends, AMI).

But today it's not accepting my password. I'm %100 sure i'm entering the correct password.

I'm trying to reset my bios without success.

                                          I tried :

-I removed the BIOS battery and main battery. Waited for a long time but it didn't work. They already stated in the user manual that the password will not be reset even if the batteries...

                                          Hello all

                                          Model - Satellite P55-A5104SL
                                          Mainboard - VGSG MB Ver:2.1
All flashing done w/CH341 adapter & EEPROM chips off board.

                                          PROBLEM:

After updating from BIOS 1.70 to 1.90, it shows Toshiba logo and halts. I narrowed it down to a possibly corrupted BIOS. How do I know? There is no similar machine in the forums, so I tried a dump for another model with same mainboard (L50-A-19N) provided by @ala_borbe in this thread. Flashed this on both BIOS & ME_FW chips and the laptop came to life again! BUT, with these symptoms:

                                          -...
