HP 24-b010a flash corrupted BIOS Winbond 25Q64FW
        by marzinator
I have a HP 24-b010a, W2T75AA#ABG giving 2 long and 2 short beeps which means corrupted BIOS, there is a method to put the BIOS onto a USB flash drive and press either B or winkey+B or winkey+V at post to boot into BIOS recovery utility to reflash the BIOS. This isn't working because the USB ports aren't working.
I've tried flashing the BIOS chip directly it's a Winbond 25Q64FW 1.8v chip, I've tried using a raspberry pi without the power connected and turned on the AIO so it gets the 1.8v from it's own mainboard, would it be safe to try to do it with the AIO powered off and connect the...

Winbond 25Q16JWNIG – Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 G814JZ bricked after wrong flash – Need help
        by Vincent Kahle
        Hi everyone,

I hope someone can help me.
I have an Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 (G814JZ) laptop with a Winbond 25Q16JWNIG chip on the motherboard.

Unfortunately, I flashed the wrong file (BIOS/EC/other region – I'm honestly not sure anymore), and now the laptop is completely dead: no display, no fan spin, no reaction at all.

I have a CH341A programmer and I'm able to read and write to the chip. However, I'm not sure which software is best (AsProgrammer, NeoProgrammer, etc.) or if there's anything specific I should watch out for.
        A valid BIOS/EC backup...

Request: Dell PowerEdge R340 iDRAC9 SPI dump (Winbond 25Q032)
        by maximus-bullitt
        Hi everyone,

I’m working on a Dell PowerEdge R340 (Service Tag: JTMLKB2).
The iDRAC is bricked — system hangs at “iDRAC initializing,” fans at 100%, and no VGA output.
The cause is a bad firmware flash to the iDRAC SPI.

        Board details:
        - Model: Dell PowerEdge R340 (14G)
        - iDRAC version: iDRAC9
        - Flash chip: Winbond 25Q032 (32 Mbit / 4 MB)
        - Location: iDRAC EEPROM near the BMC (ASPEED AST chip)
        - Tool used: CH341A programmer

        What I need:
        - A clean, working 4 MB `.bin` dump of the 25Q032 from another R340...

Alienware 17 Area-51m laptop BIOS dump with Winbond 25Q80DVSIG
        by TechMark1
I was searching the BIOS on this Alienware Area-51m laptop to try to find the info for a customer, but could not find it. I discovered that info is encrypted and hidden only Dell can pull it up. So then I thought, there may be someone who needs a working BIOS dump bin file for that laptop. So, I am uploading it to help others who may need this to unbrick the laptop or fix their Area-51m. The BIOS chip was a Winbond 25Q80DVSIG. If this helps someone out there, then my labor was not wasted. I just zipped it so I could attach it....

ThinkPad X1C6 winbond 25q80dvsig chip dump request
        by TamFishe
Hi, I got a ThinkPad x1 carbon 6th gen from a friend after in an attempt to fix it he ended up bricking the motherboard. today i tried plugging the laptop to the wall and i got no signs of life, despite the connections being proper. i've found out this winbond 25q80dvsig chip under a label near the usb c ports and i gave it a read, and the output has massive chunks of 0000 0000 0000 0000 followed by FFFF FFFF FFFF FFFF and sometimes some proper values scattered across the whole chip. I've attached the file because I've read people request it in order to fix it. Moderators, if I've posted this...
