Re: XGecu TL866II plus Check ID error
It works fine without the 1.8v adapter.
Why do they even include a 1.8v adapter for, I wasn't game to try without it, was worried about frying the chip.

XGecu TL866II plus Check ID error
I'm trying to reprogram a Winbond 25Q64FW, the programmer detects the chip type ok, it always gets check ID error though, if I untick check ID it reads nothing but 00 for the whole file, can't program, it's the latest software and firmware version.
if I run the diagnostic the programmers passes all tests and is apparently working fine, I've checked I have the adapters in the right way, it wouldn't be able to detect the chip type if it wasn't correct, it can't read or program a chip because always check ID error. Same behavior with chip taken from HP mainboard and new unused chip....Last edited by marzinator; 12-12-2020, 04:29 PM.

HP 24-b010a flash corrupted BIOS Winbond 25Q64FW
I have a HP 24-b010a, W2T75AA#ABG giving 2 long and 2 short beeps which means corrupted BIOS, there is a method to put the BIOS onto a USB flash drive and press either B or winkey+B or winkey+V at post to boot into BIOS recovery utility to reflash the BIOS. I've tried flashing the BIOS chip directly it's a Winbond 25Q64FW 1.8v chip, I've tried using a raspberry pi without the power connected and turned on the AIO so it gets the 1.8v from it's own mainboard, would it be safe to try to do it with the AIO powered off and connect the...

Lenovo Yoga 910-13IKB
Have a lenovo 910-13IKB here, I suspect PMIC (95857 HRTZ X547XHH) is the cause of the power button not working but it auto powers on as soon as USB-C power connected for the first couple of times after battery is disconnected and reconnected but after that you need to push the novo button with a paperclip.
Anyone have a schematic or board view or relevant experience with these machines, these kind of janky power issues seem to be most common cause of failure.
