Winbond 25Q16JWNIG – Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 G814JZ bricked after wrong flash – Need help

Hi everyone,

I hope someone can help me.
I have an Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 (G814JZ) laptop with a Winbond 25Q16JWNIG chip on the motherboard.

Unfortunately, I flashed the wrong file (BIOS/EC/other region – I'm honestly not sure anymore), and now the laptop is completely dead: no display, no fan spin, no reaction at all.

I have a CH341A programmer and I'm able to read and write to the chip. However, I'm not sure which software is best (AsProgrammer, NeoProgrammer, etc.) or if there's anything specific I should watch out for.
A valid BIOS/EC backup for this model would be extremely helpful if anyone has one!

My questions:

• Which software and settings do you recommend for reading/flashing the Winbond 25Q16JWNIG?
• Does anyone have a BIOS/EC backup for the Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 G814JZ?
• Are there any specific things to consider with Asus ROG Strix boards (e.g., region locks, checksums, unique data like MAC address or serial)?
• Is it safe to flash a BIOS from an identical model, or are there risks with device-specific info?

Any advice or shared experience would be greatly appreciated!
