XELTEK SUPERPRO 500P - BIOS Chip orientation

    hi guys,
I want to know if this alignment (orientation) is right or not and if the bios chip (winbond 25Q32FVSIQ) is compatible with the programming adapter and what option to choose in the programming software (chip name, my opinion is W25Q32FV - correct me if I'm wrong), since it's my first attempt with bios programmers.
    thanks in advance.

The alignment is right as well the chip choice in software. Doesn't this programmer has auto-detection????

BUT be careful for the adapter, you need SO-8 200mil

thanks for the quick reply tibd
1.yes, it does have auto detection feature, just to make sure nothing goes wrong.
I flashed the eeprom and the operation was successful (the software said).
      2. are you telling me that the adapter is not compatible with the chip (eeprom)? If so, how did it flashed successfully !!

it looks o.k. - did you clean the chip pins with ipa?

            and the adapter?
some of them are sprayed with something when they are made to stop corosion.
i have had to spray ipa on them and give them a light rub wih a paintbrush when they are new.

The EEPROM flashed successfully; after cleaning -of course- the chip leads from solder and residue.
BTW, how to back up the current bios in the software (which options to choose) ?

Thanks for the help guys and for the quick replies, I really appreciate it.

After you read the chip save to comp.
