Re: Asus EeePC 1000H Boot Problem
Well, when powering up the netbook without RAM installed, did you get beeps sound ? if not then you have a corrupted BIOS or a defective motherboard.
Try to get another memory module (RAM) and test it or:
Remove the RAM cover and remove the RAM. There should be a gold sticker with BIOS information on it. Remove this sticker and short (make a connection) the two metal pins (the two gold arrow heads) for at least 30 seconds (use a paper clip), that should reset the BIOS (hardware reset). Replace the sticker, RAM and cover, and see if that...Last edited by WGenius; 04-29-2015, 12:08 PM.

Re: Asus EeePC 1000H Boot Problem
Hi Smitthy,
try to power the netbook without the HDD (pull out the HDD, maybe it's faulty) and report back.Last edited by WGenius; 04-28-2015, 04:51 AM.

Re: lenovo g505
well, board code doesn't really matter in this case, unless you do bios mods, what matters is the product name (lenovo G505) and model name (e.g. 1066).
Anyway, here it is (if ala_borbe and meritosari BIOS doesn't work for you).Re: lenovo g505

Re: Asus N53SV notebook - power on problem
With the battery plugged-in the notebook won't power on itself, once turned on won't power off only if you pull out the battery....

Re: Asus N53SV notebook - power on problem
Update:
Flashed the bios with no results.
When I plug-in the AC adapter the notebook powers on itself (with lights on) but won't boot, and even if try a long press on the power button to power it down it won't power off, tried to power it on without memory modules no change and no beeps, just a black screen.
Could it be a GPU problem?

Re: XELTEK SUPERPRO 500P - BIOS Chip orientation
The EEPROM flashed successfully; after cleaning -of course- the chip leads from solder and residue.
BTW, how to back up the current bios in the software (which options to choose) ?
Thanks for the help guys and for the quick replies, I really appreciate it.Last edited by WGenius; 04-26-2015, 11:50 AM.

Re: XELTEK SUPERPRO 500P - BIOS Chip orientation
thanks for the quick reply tibd
1.yes, it does have auto detection feature, just to make sure nothing goes wrong.
I flashed the eeprom and the operation was successful (the software said).
2. are you telling me that the adapter is not compatible with the chip (eeprom)? If so, how did it flashed successfully !!...Last edited by WGenius; 04-26-2015, 09:52 AM.
