check U28 - its U9794 in the attached scheme. Its a TPS51218 that makes the 1.1volt always on power. The system won't even begin to start without it.

NBSWON1# voltage should be available at power button but this voltage was
not available in i o controller as well. seems to be io controller failier but near
by capacitor in the same track was faulty. once I replaced it laptop work fine

Thanks for your reply. i have seen no caps burned near IO , on pin 125 EC_PWRBTN# 3.3v when i press power button goes 0V.

The only suspicious thing I've seen one caps corroded near power jack. (see pic.) i have 3.3v on it no short but i removed this caps but no change.

I think definitely is BIOS issue no?

Try to approach the problem from a different angle. It is not always a bios problem.
In my case, (G6-2000) changing the bios did not help either. The problem seems to be in the power system. When I press the power switch, all voltages looks to be present, but only for a brief moment, than everything is back to zero.
Remember when you touch an open system with a screwdriver by accident, the system shuts down and after reconnecting the adapter, the power is back? This fault seems to do the same.
When you have NBSWON1# 3,3V and it becomes 0V after pressing power switch it doesn't come back after you let go power switch. Only after reconnecting the adapter, the voltages are back again. Looks like somebody down the line has a short. It looks like it isn't a big short, because the power led stays on.
You can check if the voltages are present in your system and what happens after pressing the power switch. Feel the power IC for 3V/5V if he get warm when you keep the power switch pressed. In my case I gamble on the TPS51125, being the problem
Just an idea, I'm not a pro.

in my case there were no burnt mark or short on the rail .NBSWON1# no voltage
at pin 4 of power button and there were three caps in parallel .when i check impedance
of these found that one of them was not equal to other two
,removed it and replace with new one.

                                          by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                          Assuming...

Intel Arc A380 videocard power limit remove - BIOS needed

                                          Hello everyone!
The Asrock A380 low profile card (ID 8086 56A5 - 1849 6006) have an power limit of 45W. Intel removed the possibility to increase power using the software utility, anyway the card is in an proxmox machine that doesn't run windows.
The same hardware is in another form by the name Asrock A380 Challenger that have the same VRMs and the power limit is at 60W. I searched online and found on another website an .bin bios file from the Challenger variant, that I flashed using an CH341a. Flashng worked well, I put the card in PC and booted. GPUz shows that new device ID is 8086...

Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 - no power

                                          Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

                                          HP Omen 15-dh0052nf power-on & bios password
                                          by Nopslide
Hello everyone, I come here to tell you my problem regarding the power-on password. It is not a bios reset demand, and i can't have any access to windows. This is the bios and power-on password that is blocking all other things.

My Omen 15-dh0052nf purchased second-hand was configured with the bios password upon purchase (very simple password :P ).

Having decided to sell it in order to get something more powerful, I reset all BIOS settings and set a blank administrator password. But the power-on password cannot be changed to a blank one so I let the actual password set....
