Just download it from HP. They offer full bios files in their flasher. And actually have a bad flash recovery processes built into their Probook and Elitebook series. No need to even open these units if you have a bad bios flash.
Make a Fat32 partition of 2GB on a USB stick called HP_TOOLS. place bios in there for your model according to their recovery instruction. Boot the unit holding the recovery keys, and you're back in business.

The probooks and elitebooks will not flash a bios with out a Sig file that matches the binary. so a dump obviously wont have a sig.
I've tried flashing a dump back to my Elitebook, and it always rejects it. Force flashed it to the SPi chip and it refused to boot. Had to recover the bios. HP's bios are encrypted and are signed via RSA. This is the same reason why no one to this date has removed the white-lists from these bioses as far as i have found.
"That .sig file is unique and will not verify any other roms expect the one it was made for. So any modifications to the bios will require a new .sig in order to flash it via efi. Unfortunately we can only generate the .sig when the bios is previously encrypted by HP or if we know HP's private RSA key."
If you have a corrupted bios the way to recover it is with the suggestion i made earlier. If your trying to modify it, the machine will refuse to boot on it and will need the bios recovered, if you force flash it. If you use HP's built in recovery to flash it or their flash tool it will just tell you its invalid.Comment

Is it working for Discrete motherboard ?. I upload it. its working showing logo only there is no vcc_gfxcore and gfx coil also not giving power. and its freezes on that logo stage. no response on keyboard or usb. There is no old bios chip on this motherboard. someone has removed it already.Comment

Hp Probook 450 G7 s# SCD0348W35 had a locked BIOS. Bought BIOS and EC chips off Ebay that were supposed to match this machine - the 450 G7. Flashed in the BIOS on chip i bought using a CH341. BIOS unlocked next boot. Some error to contact HP. Entered BIOS and reset to system defaults and rebooted. Machine worked fine but every cold boot the contact HP message popped and everything else worked as fine. Assumed the error was from EC chip not matching BIOS that i just flashed in. So i flashed in the EC that was supposed to match from the EBay chip i bought and instant brick.

HI,
I have a Dell T7820 stuck in Bios recovery mode. I never get Dell Boot screen or anything visible on screen. The system just gives me 3 white lights and 3 orange lights indicating Bios recovery mode.
What I have tried to get to recover the Bios, there seems to be some conflicting advice about recovering the system.
All of them say to download the latest bios from the dell website which is a .exe file. I have done that

So a couple of years ago i got a bios update through Lenovo Vantage, so i installed it and bricked my whole BIOS, so i couldn't fix it so i put that ideapad in a box, 3 years later i found that one PC and want to recover it to switch from a 2014 hp laptop to this one.
I found a method to recover the BIOS of many lenovo laptops tha consists in pluging in a USB Flash with the BIOS files and power on the laptop with Fn + R keys pressed until fans go loud and start beeping loud, but nothing worked, so i think filename is wrong, i tried naming the bios file as 07WW.BIN, BIOS.BIN, BIOS.fd,...10-11-2024, 03:12 PM -
I'm requesting a bios .bin for 2 of my hp Probook 450 G3's. Both of which I had forgotten the bios passwords. I stupidly flashed both of them with firmware "made" by the RCUnlocker software and I guess I shouldn't have. The last thing I did was flash both of them with RCUnlocker-fw thinking it would 100% work and left my programmer etc behind and won't have access to them for another 2 days so I figured I'd create a thread to see if I'd be so lucky that someone might have a working file laying around 😝
