    Lenovo Slim 7 14IRP8 bios

Hello, good day. My name is Federico. When I tried to update the BIOS on my Lenovo Slim 7 notebook, I got an error, and now the screen is black and it won't boot. After waiting, the screen appears saying "Recovery ROM part?" with two options, but neither works. I've included the model and serial number. Can I recover the BIOS from a USB drive? What are the steps? Thanks!

post the contents of the bios chip even if it is corrupted..

The bios chip must be unsoldered from the board before writing or reading..
do not use the clip, you may have errors..if you do not have anything to unsolder it with,
solder wires between the programmer and the bios chip..

you need an SPI programmer...here is a video for example..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWWi...nnel=ThisIsHow

      Try Crisis recovery

      Refer to these guides:
      https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Gaming-...SB/m-p/5026109
      1. Follow step 1 to format the USB drive to FAT32 with GPT partition table (be careful on this step, you may select the wrong HDD/SSD on diskpart)
      1- Prepare USB Flash Drive
      • Connect an empty USB Flash Drive to your PC (we will format it; all data will be lost)
      • Open Command [prompt](CMD) as Administrator
      • Type the following commands
        • Diskpart
        • List Disk
        • Select Disk # (Replace # with the number corresponding to your Flash Drive)
        • Clean (You may repeat this command until it's successfully executed)
        • Convert GPT
        • Create Partition Primary
        • Format fs=FAT32 Label=BHCrisis
        • Assign
        • Exit
        • Exit
      * Label doesn't seem to be important, just the GPT partition table and FAT32 file system
      * If possible use a USB drive less than 32GB

      2. Copy LGCN.bin (attached, version LGCN36WW) to the root directory of the newly formatted USB drive

Continue with the next guide: https://github.com/nonkerdoob/Smokel...BIOS_CRISIS.md
      3. Do step 7 of the second guide
      7. Flash the BIOS

The Beep is damn loud and will last for 8-10min, so don't do this at night
If you have self healing problem is suggested also to remove the SSD, (The Self Healing File is on SSD, so removing it will not trigger the process again after the flash)
      • Remove the Power plug
      • Make sure that le laptop is off, pressing the power button for > 30 sec
      • Plug the USB
      • Press and keep pressed FN + R
      • Plug the charger
      • Press the power button
      • The led near the Power connector will start blinking
      • Keep FN + R pressed until the computer starts Beeping, can take 2-5 min, don't give up early, once start beeping can release the key, after a couple of beeps
      • wait for it to finish, will reboot automatically when done

BIOS problems Slim 7 16IAH7 Laptop (Lenovo) - Type 82VB
        by myty6
        Hello Everyone,

        Make : Lenovo
        Model: Slim 7 16IAH7
        S/N: YX04XNTW
        Mfg: 2022/09/13

System will not boot. I have tried the normal troubleshooting (external display, unplugged batter for 24hrs, holding the Novo button, tried to boot from usb using every typed of bootable media) i cannot get a display but keyboard backlight lights up but it's not responsive, fans spin and power button flashes but stops. After researching my symptoms, I am leaning towards a bad bios.

I have identified what looks to be 2 bios chips on my motherboard, both winbond...

Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 (serial number: MP2BFZEF) bios request
        by Wahaz
        Hello,

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....

Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 14APU8 Bios Request
        by beogeek
I've currently got a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 14APU8 that is not posting. Its fan spins, the keyboard lights up, and the caps lock doesn't work. It was taken to some shop for cleaning, and then they updated or tried to update the bios. After that, there was no display and no post. I've removed the bios ic from the board and made a bios dump. I need some assistance going forward, as I suspect this is probably just a bad bios issue. I've tried searching for a dump, but no luck; if anyone can throw me a bone, it would be much appreciated!

Attached is the bios dump in the state I received it...
