• Thanks hoaca388, and everyone else who responded. Unfortunately it didn't change my outcome. Will continue to look into it and try and see what other faults I can uncover.

Again thanks for the help and great community.

• I was able to write the new 16MB file you created to the 25QH128CH10 chip. I did however have issue reading the chip next to it 25r64jvsiq "Chip C". After going back to the beginning of the post I realized that the "oldbios" file i created was from the other winbond chip 25q64jwsiq "Chip A" on the board. I went ahead and created an image that identifies and labels the 4 soic8 chips i located on this board.

Chips A,B,C,D

A= 25q64jwsiq
B= XMC QR80BHIG ? had a hard time reading this one
C= 25r64jvsiq
D= XMC 25QH128CH10...

• Wow! Thanks for the quick response. So the files you sent are to be flashed to the 16mb and 8 mb in the attached photo. Also, did you create both files from the most recent dump i just uploaded? sorry for so many questions.

thanks again....

• Thanks Hoaca388.

Now looking at my own photo i didn't even recognize the other sop-8 XMC chip 25QH128CH10. Is that the one you want me to read that data from or the other winbond chip "25r64jvsiq".

I tried both but wasn't able to get anything usable from either. I am going to desolder the chip and read it that way. I will attach the files when i complete this hopefully in the morning.

Thanks again!

• BIOS problems Slim 7 16IAH7 Laptop (Lenovo) - Type 82VB

Hello Everyone,

Make : Lenovo
Model: Slim 7 16IAH7
S/N: YX04XNTW
Mfg: 2022/09/13

System will not boot. I have tried the normal troubleshooting (external display, unplugged batter for 24hrs, holding the Novo button, tried to boot from usb using every typed of bootable media) i cannot get a display but keyboard backlight lights up but it's not responsive, fans spin and power button flashes but stops. After researching my symptoms, I am leaning towards a bad bios.

I have identified what looks to be 2 bios chips on my motherboard, both winbond...
