    You MUST:
    • Read BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools
    • Try the method at BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools before requesting help
    • Explain you were not able to succeed with the methods at BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools
    • Use search function in case someone already answered your request
    • Post under a related thread if it exists
    • Provide the full machine model number, serial number (or Service tag, SNID) and the board model number (see https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=88758 ) ,The serial number, make, full model number, motherboard model and revision (except QR codes) must be written/typed at your request as per the rules. Not as a picture, part of the file name and so on.
    • Name your thread with make, full model numbers and request
    • Provide a BIOS/EC dump if possible
    • Attach files directly to your post instead of linking to external websites
    • Post what the problem is, be specific - black screen, no boot, running slow, password. Do NOT post "clean me", "clear bios", "clean bios", "fix bios", "bios need" or other such terms

Hi All. I do have an exact same motherboard on bench . I do suspect the bios, as I cannot see any other issue on the PCB. I have power and there is an initial fan spin and i do take those as good signs as not to be a dead CPU - no shorts on VRMs also a good sign. I do attach a bios dump from my machine. Hope someone will be able to determine if this is the issue. I tried to get official clean bios, but the fd's from Acer are beyond my knowledge in this department.

      Also as per additional info:

      Thanks in advance

Attached are 3 different bios versions extracted from the bios update. Don`t know which yours is so try all 3 ,it`s dependent on the power delivery hardware on the motherboard.

        DMI
        EA7000 - EA714F
        EAA000 - EAA03F

Also attached are 3 macro scripts to copy the DMI from your backup to each bios, instructions for that are below -

        Code:
This will only work if you have made a good backup !!!!!!

        1. Install Tiny Hexer hex editor -> https://www.softpedia.com/get/Others/Miscellaneous/tiny-hexer.shtml

        2. Make a new folder on your C: drive called DOLPHIN

        3. Move or copy contents of extracted scripts.zip to DOLPHIN folder

        4. Move or copy your bios backup and the 3 new bios to the DOLPHIN folder

        5. Rename your backup bios to flipper.bin

        6. Run each of the scripts one at a time, after each script has run close Tiny Hexer before moving onto the next one

          Thank You!
I am still not on the end of the work, but I do have a new behavior from the laptop. With bios files that you provided laptop after start now powers on the backlight - resets four times and goes down. For my surprise with all off them. For in depth comparison and to eradicate potential of issues with the original DMI sectors i did also checked with blank files. So my assumption there is still some physical issue with the board itself. The usual check with caps-lock does suggest we are still a no-post. I will need to search for a boardview as the only suspicious part with unusual heat signature is BQ25700 section of the board. Nonetheless I do appreciate the effort. Thanks

The boardview/schematic doesn`t seem to be available at the moment but i may be wrong. You can post a request for them in the schematics forum https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...-requests-only

What is the EC chip part number, can you make a backup

Unfortunately i will not be able to get the FW fro EC. It is ITE IT5571VG-128 a BGA chip. I do not have any programmer adaper for this form-factor and without schematic - i will post request as you suggested i do not have any reference points to try.

You would need an EC programmer such as a SVOD4 or Vertyanov SUCCESSOR to make a backup from the keyboard connector

                  Bios request for Acer P214-52-58CH
                  by ebyte64
                  Good day.

I would like to request a bios for the following laptop?

                  Model: Acer P214-52-58CH
                  Model No: N19Q7
                  S/N: NXVLHE0H11204BA27600
                  SNID: 11201936276

Symptoms: Laptop powers on but no picture on screen.

I have already checked voltages and all is present. I have checked resistance on the coils to see if the chipset or cpu might be shorted. All resistances look normal. I have tried diffrent ram and I have reset the bios. I have also visually inspected the board to see if anything is burnt or if there are any traces of liquid...

                  ASUS TP500LA BIOS request/repair/merge?
                  by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
                  Some issues
                  A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

                  Things I tried

1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...

[REQUEST] Dell G3 3579 BIOS Password & AMI Protected Range/BIOS Guard Unlock
                  by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

                  Acer AL14-31P-C8KV BIOS Request
                  by justice171
                  Hello Badcaps Team,

I am working on an Acer AL14-31P-C8KV laptop (S/N: NXKS8EA0013490A9C74500) with board number T140AN Rev 3.0A.

I received this unit for repair, but I am uncertain if the current BIOS is correct. There are clear signs of previous work – I noticed flux residue around the BIOS chip, which suggests the BIOS may have been tampered with or reprogrammed before. Because of this, I am not confident that the backup BIN I have is the original dump or if it belongs to this exact machine.

Could you please assist me with:
                  • A clean BIOS BIN for this
