    It's 02292

    DMI 72E000-72E0FF
Copy/overwrite that range with hex editor to the clean BIOS

    Attached BIOS with S/N inserted

If you explain what the problem is we might get a few ideas. If you have a backup post it.

as its user said it shut down itself , turning it on only shows power lights and other lights like caps lock .. NO DISPLAY AT ALL , then he sent it to someone else to repair .. during repair he didn't use hp flashback or any backups ... used a programmer without knowing it need serial and nvram .. now pc no sign of light or anything ... its totally dead ..

Unfortunately cannot find BIOS/drivers update on HP website (EDIT: I found them, on a different page), as HP has removed support for older models, the serial number points to a different model as HP has reused it... that happens often for laptop models prior to 2015-2016
HP PartSurfer website with your S/N mentions 2 models: HP Pavilion 15-p213nk, and HP Laptop 15-fd0682TU

Found a BIOS update sp92961.exe searching for HP Pavilion 15-p200, I extracted it but there are 5 different BIOS, i can't tell which one is correct without the original BIOS dump
            https://support.hp.com/ie-en/drivers...59?sku=L1S95EA

            https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp925...00/sp92961.exe

Make a backup of whatever is flashed on the BIOS chip first and post it here
Try 02292 first, it will be missing S/N and model name as that info is likely lost when the previous tech flashed it without making a backup first

That's the issue, it shouldn't add anything when you paste the offset with hex editor, instead it should be replaced, Paste overwrite
Try post 9 as is, I already added the S/N

Attempt #2, original backup with replaced BIOS region from F.36, ME region unchanged, S/N inserted
Also try cleaning contacts on RAM, test RAM in another slot

                                Hi everyone,

I have been doing hardware repair as a hobby for some years now and recently decided to learn about repairing laptops as a fun challenge.

I managed to get my hands on a "HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec2523nd" notebook that only shows a white power LED and doesnt respond to anything.

After initial testing I concluded the bios seems to be corrupted since all voltages are normal and there are no shorts. HP has a feature for a bios restore from USB with winkey+B for this model. This did not work.

I have desoldered the bios chip (GigaDevice...

                                Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:

                                • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
                                • External display (HDMI) shows

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...
