by grimacelordHello,
I have spent the last hour on this and I guess this is just over my head, so here I am.
I have an ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI motherboard here that needs to have the BIOS updated in order to accept the latest CPUs.
The BIOS chips seem to come as a set of two: GD25B64ESIG and GD25B128ESIG. My guess is one of them is a fail-safe for the main BIOS? I really don't know. Or one of them is ME and other is BIOS? I don't know.
Anyway, I took dumps of both chips and then downloaded the latest update for this motherboard from ASUS's website...-

by KuroneoxSorry for the inconvenience, I have a problem with an Asus, it turns on, it tries to start or the image freezes or it restarts, it doesn't let me put a system on it or put a disk with a system on it, it restarts them all, by chance I would have the Bios for this model

by DynaxSCHi,
I have a serious problem to program the Z590 chipset SRAM with a Management Engine after replacing the chipset.
The new chipset is factory new and is not containing any Management Engine. Any attempts to program it into the chipset under Windows ends with a failure (eg. Error 20: Management Engine Device not present, or something similar).
Due to the lack of the ME several ports on the board, including all M.2 ports aren't working, booting OS works only on USB. So it's now other way, as to program the chipset with a ME.
Usually on ASUS boards it worked...-

by ArtMovHi guys, i have a problem , my bios resets disabled overclocking lock setting to enable after reboot, please tell me which function can be responsible for restoring the stock config for this option, loading parameters from nvram and so on, like bios ,protection, from asus. My bios made me angry) Set default parameter to disable in amibcp 5 , doesn't help(
1. I made overclocking lock disabled the default in amibcp
2. I changed the varoffset to the wrong one, but it led to the programmer, it was very tedious and nervous, I really regretted it, my chip is on the back of the...-

by macabookHello everyone,
I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
🧩 Initial Issue- Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
