    Lenovo Thinkpad E16 gen 1/ E14 Gen 5 bios

    Hi I need a fresh bios for the AMD version of the Thinkpad E16 gen 1. Couldnt find it anywhere on the forum. Alternatively a Bios for the Thinkpad E14 gen 5 would also be fine as they seem to share a bios. Thanks

          Thanks for the quick help, unfortunally it didnt work
          I uses the raw .rom file, do i somehow need to convert it to .bin?

              Just rename. Rom to .bin

                          Server issue,the file is no longer available. If you want your own bios fixing and you have a backup post it.

                                  I have an engineering sample of a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 11th Gen (TYPE 21HM-2FVT05, S/N PF-40G7CD) with an Intel Core i7 1360P (ES – Intel 0000). Since this is an engineering sample, the BIOS had a massive number of various settings. One day, I was experimenting with the BIOS settings and, after saving them, the laptop stopped booting and played a melody after pressing the power button, signaling error code 0002 (Internal bus error), just like in this post: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...shooting-lapto...

                                  Should I buy a Lenovo Thinkpad E495 with bios password?

                                  Good day. I apologize if I posted this in the wrong topic. I saw somebody selling a Thinkpad E495 with a Ryzen 3500U CPU near me. In the pictures the laptop is running windows 10. I contacted the seller and asked a few questions about upgradability and if it has a bios password on it. He confirmed it has a bios password. I searched through the forum, I found a guide regarding removing the bios password using the autopatcher, I also found a thread with the e495 where people requested help with unlocking the bios password.

                                  Hi!
                                  Went dumpster-diving and found a bricked Lenovo P14S in trash, few weeks earlier. Symptoms - no screen, no POST, no beep, just keyboard LEDs flashing on powerup. Mute button+LED was responding though, and the display self-test was still working (via the key combo Ctrl+Fn+Power held for some seconds, see the Service manual).

                                  Incidentally, Windows 11 have recently started auto-flashing computer BIOS in our region. Even more suspiciously, Lenovo has released a BIOS update just few days before the PC was trashed. About a week later, the BIOS update image has been oficially marked...
