    for my post cards testing i need to know producer of my bios.
    how to chceck it. example on dell vostro 1510

    guys i need to know if my bios is AMI, PHOENIX or other.

      Download a bios update and open the bios file with a text editor/reader. If you see Phoenix in the file, you know it's a Phoenix bios. Same for the other options (award / ami etc )

      For example, typing vostro 1510 bios download in google sent me here:

      http://www.dell.com/support/home/in/...o-1510/drivers

      Downloaded the bios from that page, ran the executable to extract the archive and the bios updater showed up. Title of the updater says "Phoenix WinPhlash" so I would say it's a phoenix bios.

      Going into Windows > Temp > Winplash where it extracted the files, there's a BIOS.ROM file... opening that up, there's "Copyright 1985-2006 Phoenix Technologies Ltd.
      All Rights Reserved" in it, so it's a phoenix bios.
