HP 15-da0117nl Lost BIOS info and no TPM

    Hi guys,

i own an HP laptop that suddenly lost all info in the BIOS (serial number, model number, UUID and so on) and the TPM module that used to work is no longer recognized.
I have Windows 11 installed, but it keeps trying to reinstall the system files without success because the TPM is not present.

Now i need anyone here to tell me which tools i need to try to reprogram the BIOS and reactivate the TPM module.

    The laptop data are:

    S/N: CND838BGBD
    4TW61EA#ABZ
    Model 15-da0117nl
    RMN:TPN-C135

    Many thanks!!!

I apologize, but i'm kinda new to BIOS programming.

                  Hi everyone,

i own a HP 15-da0117nl with lost info (serial number, etc) and other functions like TPM.
I have created an HP Recovery Key from another identical laptop, but i can't rewrite the BIOS entirely...In detail:
If i leave the SSD with the operating system connected, the Win-B process will start and finish, but the BIOS will remain the same.
If i remove the SSD and try the Win-B procedure with just the USB Key connected, the computer says that it cannot find the recovery files from the USB key.

Is there another way to fully recover my BIOS?!?

                  Many Thanks!!!โ€‹

Thread merged with your previous topic. Try to enter the serial number etc using HP Bios Config Utility https://ftp.ext.hp.com/pub/caps-soft...it/HP_BCU.html .If that doesn`t work you will need to buy an SPI programmer to flash a new bios.

Thanks for your reply...I have already tried with BCU, but basically it says the BIOS is not in MPM mode so no luck...It looks like my only chance is having someone to reprogram the BIOS chip with an SPI programmer, am i right?!?

                        Hello everyone,

Iโ€™m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, Iโ€™m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Hereโ€™s a full breakdown:

                        • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
                        • External display (HDMI) shows

I decided to make a new thread since it's a new issue, but please move if I made a mistake.

                        ASUS TP500LA BIOS request/repair/merge?
                        by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
                        Some issues
                        A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

                        Things I tried

                        by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...
