    Lenovo P52 error P0284 Bios bug

    Hello!
    I received a Lenovo P52 20M9. When it starts it just makes a series of beeps. According to diagnostics, this is error 0284. I have already tested other bios with Ch341 but without success. Or the power LED lights up 3 times and nothing happens, or the beep sequence comes with 0284.

          I have the original bios. but I think he didn't save it correctly. But it's worth a try.​

              Hello,

              I did some reading. Is there a way to repair a laptop like this if there is no bios dump.

              I have already tested various bios dumps from other users. There are 3 behaviors.

              Behavior 1:
              The "i" from ThinkPad and the power button flash 3x. Everything stays black and the device switches off.

              Behavior 2:
              Only beep melody which means Error 0284.

              Behavior 3:
              After starting, the keyboard lights up and the fans rotate for a short moment. Afterwards the device restarts, then the same behavior. Then there is a restart. Then comes Beep Melody (0284).

              I received the device with the 0284 problem, can this device still be repaired? or do the chances look very bad.

                  System are not detecting a bios chip. Check your connections in this case.

                      So... Yoga 370, same 0284 error.
                      I saved the bios dump (attached), i checked it with uefi tool to get an idea of the cause, but i have no idea what to look for.

                                  Hello,

                                  I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
                                  So I thought it was a Bios problem.
                                  I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....

                                  My Lenovo Legion Y540 (i7-9750H, RTX 2060) bricked after I downgraded from BHCN44WW to BHCN21WW.
                                  Laptop stopped booting entirely.

                                  I used a CH341A programmer to dump the corrupted 16MB BIOS.
                                  i then attempted the following:
                                  1. Downloaded stock BIOS BHCN39WW from Lenovo
                                  2. Trimmed it to 16MB
                                  3. Extracted the BIOS region from the corrupted dump
                                  4. Extracted the BIOS region from the stock 39WW
                                  5. Replaced the corrupted BIOS region with the stock one (within hxd , opened the corrupted dump and replaced its region by the stock)

                                  Lenovo IdeaPad 3 - Hard Disk not recognized in BIOS

                                  Dear all,

                                  I have recently fixed a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 ALC6 that was not booting due to a BIOS issue. After flashing the BIOS, the laptop boots up, but hard disk is not recognized in BIOS. Is says "Hard Disk : Not Installed". I have tried with 2 different drives (one that I know is working on another laptop) but I get the same result. I do not know if disks were recognized before I got the laptop and fix it, but I don't see any reason why not. I can boot on USB though.

                                  Here the steps I have taken to fix the laptop:

                                  So a couple of years ago i got a bios update through Lenovo Vantage, so i installed it and bricked my whole BIOS, so i couldn't fix it so i put that ideapad in a box, 3 years later i found that one PC and want to recover it to switch from a 2014 hp laptop to this one.
