Asus vivobook 15 X515DAP bios

    Asus vivobook 15 X515DAP bios

    Hello.
    My laptop is Asus vivobook 15.
    motherboard: X515DAP
    bios version: 311
    Cpu: ryzen 3 3250u

    My problem is cpu overheats even while watching youtube videos. It goes above 100c regularly. I reapplied thermal paste but it doesnt do any difference. Is it possible to unlock my bios for undervolting purposes? I am student and I will go to university in a week. I need this pc to study and do homework. If anyone is able to unlock it, i will share serial numbers.

      post the S/N,post the original bios of the laptop even if it is corrupted,the full name and model of the laptop,etc..

              The situation is as follows:
              I set a supervisor password for my bios and forgot it because my laptop boots directly into Windows. So apparently there is no need to remember the password, my brain thought, so here I am

              With ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.

              For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.

              I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.

              This is the picture of 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all of them being X555LD...

              Hi there,

              I know there is somebody who can tell me what is happening with my laptop. For start, it is an asus vivobook s510ua with an asustek x510ua motherboard with an intel i5 7200u cpu and 16gb ram.. i have a screenshot from speccy before strange things started.. as you can see the laptop type and bios version x510ua.302.I don’t manually update the bios because i don’t like to having a bricked bios, i know what troubles that gives..

              I did a fresh win 11 install, and after the automatic updates, windows rebooted and automatically started asus ez flash.....

              Hello,

              I have spent the last hour on this and I guess this is just over my head, so here I am.

              I have an ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI motherboard here that needs to have the BIOS updated in order to accept the latest CPUs.

              The BIOS chips seem to come as a set of two: GD25B64ESIG and GD25B128ESIG. My guess is one of them is a fail-safe for the main BIOS? I really don't know. Or one of them is ME and other is BIOS? I don't know.

              Anyway, I took dumps of both chips and then downloaded the latest update for this motherboard from ASUS's website...
