      https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...66#post1544866

toke me good hour to understand it lol

      bottom line
      --read bios chip
      --use any hex editor app
      --search for AMITSE
--there will be one area that has random text after AMITSE in my case looked like this
      "AMITSESetup ìÚ&\∫%Mâ‡"t}ÿö3.é¡ÈTDËü{˙U¢∞5 …f\¡ÔÉ NVAR"
      or in hex"1A93F2265CBA254D89E022747D07D89A332E8EC1E95444E89F7BFA0E55A2B0350BC9665CC1EF1C83"
-- copy the hex value of That code/text ONLY, removed spaced from that hex value and used that value in the website "https://xor.pw"
--in the website Input 1 add your hex value without spaces
--in input 2 just add as is (remove space between F and 7) 5B93B62611BA6C4DC7E022747D07D89A332E8EC1E95444E89F 7BFA0E55A2B0350BC9665CC1EF1C83
--in output 3 change it to "ASCII Base256"
      --then click Calculate

[TUTORIAL] fix asus bios with bios from asus web support (by razor_amd)
        by razor_amd
With ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.

For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.

I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.

This is the picture of 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all of them being X555LD...

HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec2523nd - Dimm2 slot disabled after corrupt bios repair? Advice requested.
        by Bloodhoundje
        Hi everyone,

I have been doing hardware repair as a hobby for some years now and recently decided to learn about repairing laptops as a fun challenge.

I managed to get my hands on a "HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec2523nd" notebook that only shows a white power LED and doesnt respond to anything.

After initial testing I concluded the bios seems to be corrupted since all voltages are normal and there are no shorts. HP has a feature for a bios restore from USB with winkey+B for this model. This did not work.

I have desoldered the bios chip (GigaDevice...

ASUS ROG Ally X - (Handheld Gaming PC)
        Model No: RC72LA
        Serial No: SBNVKD001014459

Hi all, I've spent the past week digging through the forums and guides to try correct my foolish mistake of changing hidden settings while tinkering around, and to be honest my heads overloaded so I'm hoping you'll be able to help.

I used a tool called 'Smokeless-UMAF' to access usually hidden settings in the bios. I tweaked one or two 'safe' things but made the mistake of tweaking a lot of settings under 'USB/Thunderbolt Configurations' when I didn't know what they did. For...

novice user attempting first BIOS write on ASUS laptop
        by alphabetty
        Hello first post!

Ok so after an (ASUSTek) optional Windows update, my old ASUS E403NA laptop rebooted and froze in the BIOS menu screen and was unresponsive so after about 30 mins I powered off and back on again. Now i just get a power LED and a black screen, I have tried all the basic suggestions and all the suggestions on the ASUS site, spoke to ASUS support who said I will need to pay for an RMA.

The laptop is worth €50 so I won't be doing the RMA at god knows what price.

So I have seen some videos where people have reprogrammed the BIOS...
