    Lenovo E15 corrupt BIOS

So I attempted to replace a Lenovo E15 laptop that had a buggered system board with a board from Aliexpress. All went fine and I updated the Serial # and Model which was the same 20RD as the original.

Booted fine and got into the desktop of Windows. Run Lenovo Vantage and it finds a BIOS update. So I proceed and all seems fine until it reboots to complete the update. This is where when I returned from the washroom I saw the power LED blinking and the Num lock on. I let it sit there for quite sometime and no picture. I had no choice to power down and remove the battery along with CMOS battery. Well the blink when away and it will power on, but no post or display. Not even any beeps.

Could someone help and see if they could fix the BIOS I took from the system board? Not sure whether it would be just a clean ME or fixing something else. I'm still wet behind the ear and learning as I go.

    Lenovo E15
    Model - 20RD005GUS
    Serial number - MJ0DMF99

Sorry, I didn't include the system board model number. Found the board number from Aliexpress order FE4A0/FE5A0 NM-C421 Rev. 1.0

I did work on the bios file I attached and cleaned the ME at my home after grabbing it from here. Not sure it will work until tomorrow. However, I tried to modify the file with the new BIOS update from Lenovo and it's a FL1 file which is smaller than the actual BIOS size so it's probably just an update. I have no idea where to start there and I have looked at guides but not exactly wrapping my brain around it at the moment.

Fingers crossed. However, if you still feel like assisting since you may think I may have missed something, please don't hesitate to have a look at this BIOS file.

Well this morning I flashed to what I believed is a clean ME version of this BIOS I posted. It did not work. I would think I had done the clean ME procedure right, but who knows.

I even borrowed another clean ME bios for this particular model from another forum post just in case. Still no post.

So unfortunately even though I am attempting to fix this myself, I may need help afterall.

Fixed: Lenovo P14s Gen 1 (type 20Y1, 20Y2) Laptop (ThinkPad) bricked by a withdrawn BIOS update (r1buj82w)
        by akwky
        Hi!
Went dumpster-diving and found a bricked Lenovo P14S in trash, few weeks earlier. Symptoms - no screen, no POST, no beep, just keyboard LEDs flashing on powerup. Mute button+LED was responding though, and the display self-test was still working (via the key combo Ctrl+Fn+Power held for some seconds, see the Service manual).

Incidentally, Windows 11 have recently started auto-flashing computer BIOS in our region. Even more suspiciously, Lenovo has released a BIOS update just few days before the PC was trashed. About a week later, the BIOS update image has been oficially marked...

Dell 9010 MT BIOS Update Always Fails
        by mikeybass
Hi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked. I decided to copy the main BIOS and EC from the working 9010 computer and successfully flashed the corrupted BIOS. This got the computer able to boot again and run norm...

HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec2523nd - Dimm2 slot disabled after corrupt bios repair? Advice requested.
        by Bloodhoundje
        Hi everyone,

I have been doing hardware repair as a hobby for some years now and recently decided to learn about repairing laptops as a fun challenge.

I managed to get my hands on a "HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec2523nd" notebook that only shows a white power LED and doesnt respond to anything.

After initial testing I concluded the bios seems to be corrupted since all voltages are normal and there are no shorts. HP has a feature for a bios restore from USB with winkey+B for this model. This did not work.

I have desoldered the bios chip (GigaDevice...

Lenovo M92p TINY 3238 lost ability to boot after BIOS update
        by keropi
        Hello!
yesterday I received from eBay a Lenovo M92p TINY model 3238 system with 4GB of RAM and a 500GB mechanical HDD.
I tested it and it worked fine, it booted to a fresh Win10 x64 French OS .
The plan was to replace the mechanical HDD with an SDD one and upgrade RAM to the max 16GB since I had 2x 8GB SODIMM modules.

I noticed that there was an update on the Lenovo support site so I thought I'd do that first and then proceed with the upgrades and installation of new OS.
The windows BIOS update completed successfully and the system booted to a bios-like...
