My bios was corrupted, I tried the one posted by OP and the laptop is working now, but could someone please just change the service tag with mine?

Yes but I am having issues when I try to update to the latest bios version from Dell (1.23.1), it bricks the laptop.
It says that the update is completed but it doesn't reboot.

Try this bios, if it asks for the platform name -

PlatformName1=Inspiron 5415
PlatformName2=Inspiron 5515

It's working but the fans are spinning at full speed all the time.
My problem could be that I am forcing the bios to update while I don't have a battery installed.

thank you very much the new bios works well.
At startup I had to enter the service tag and the exact model.

but now when windows starts it asks me for bitlocker recovery key which would be the reason why I tried to repair this PC.
do you have any advice? maybe there is some option to activate in the bios.

I read that someone opted for a bios downgrade, do you think this will solve it?
