Hi guys, I confirm that the luzvel64 bin works, however it doesn't have DMI information.

Without the DMI information Windows Update doesn't download the updates. I can confirm this because I have a computer working at the moment and until I modified the DMI information Windows Update didn't work.

I copied the information from block 100FFF0 to 1011BAF.

Hi all - First timer here and I"m trying to reflash a dead Asus G713PV-WS94. The serial is R4NRKD01821217C
Can I just use the .bin file that somebody else uploaded in this thread earlier? I understand about DMI information where I need to program in my SN, MAC address, and that windows GUID number. But I guess I'm wondering if I can just flash using the above bin file, boot it up on Linux and set my DMI info after I can get it booted? Or do I have to hexedit the bin file and add those bits in first?

Also, as I am learning more about this, I asked chatgpt about some of this stuff and it keeps telling me that the bios needs an ME section and I even used an ME Analyzer tool on that previously uploaded bin file and it doesnt have the ME section. It claims that the bios likely won't boot without ME. Is that false information from chatgpt?

I'll keep reading more but if someone can get me a BIOS file that will work for me, I'd appreciate it greatly!

            Thanks...

The sticker on the inside of the case shows:
                G713RX-2F
                6070B2005222
                Rev: 1.00 A01
                HSF:HF
                Date Code: 952344

I can't get a dump of the original bios chip because it got damaged when I had to remove it from the board. It seemed to have some sort of adhesive keeping it stuck down to the board. I used a board warmer, lots of flux and hot air. There seemed to be a black material underneath it which I think had to be adhesive. Can you still do anything for me even without the original dump?

Thanks so much for helping me!!

Peste - Thank you so much for telling me to use post #13! It worked!!! It is very late here now so I will continue tomorrow but I need to remove the heat pipe mechanism and put new thermal paste everywhere that it is suppose to go. I then have to find the instructions on setting up the SN, macaddress, and GUID. I noticed that the serial was defaulted to something like 123456789. I will have to prepare a bootable USB thumb drive and load the tools I need to write to the DMI.

Thanks again for watching this forum and helping me out! What a great forum. I will send in a donation tomorrow to keep it running.
