I started by checking the first current sensor after the first and second mosfets. Showed a short on main power rail. I then checked all the other coils on the board.
I had no supplied power other than my tester. The power coils for the GPU both showed as shorted. I then did a complete visual inspection of the board and found water damage.
I cleaned the board with seltzer water after using 91% alcohol.
Then i used a thermal camera with the power plugged in and the 2nd drmos was totally red, and the first was glowing in the middle as a smaller...

I have this dell g15 Ryzen Edition 5515. Board GDL56 LA-K453p. It had liquid damage when i bought it. Cleaned it up really well and then used thermal camera to see what got hot.
Found the power pdw1 and pdw2 under the graphics card were getting hot. Pdw2 was hottest, i had a similiar chip on another board so i put it on this board.
The other chip is now hot as well, which it was to begin with.
Thats the problem as i dont know what to call it, like is it a mosfat? or what?

I just bought this from ebay. Has power light but doesnt post or turn on backlights on keys.
I used the #13 bios but looking back i dont think they are the same types of laptops.
I downloaded the file from asus for mine i guess. Had ,334 at end. I havent written it yet because of the question about the bios chip.
You were talking about an mx77u2560fz4141 32 mb chip.
Mine is a windbond 25r256jweq.
Is it this one or a windbond 25q80dvsig?
