I can't seem to flash a new BIOS normally with the .exe file provided by Lenovo, so I'm looking for help. Every time I try I get an error message that reads "New BIOS region (1000000h) does not match with current (C00000h)"

I've extracted the .bin files from both the UB1/UB2 chip (8MB) and also from the UB3 chip (16MB) using a flash programmer although I am not sure if both need to be flashed or just one. Can I get help getting working .bin files from the latest BIOS version for each chip respectively to see if that works? I've extracted the bios.fd file myself and then converted to .bin and separated the file into a 16MB and a 8MB one but my efforts failed. I'm not sure where I messed up.

I'll attach the bin files I extracted from each chip and the bios.fd file along with the same file but .bin from update H1CN57WW to see if that may be of some help. What does the serial number have to do with how the BIOS works?

Thank you so much for the file. Unfortunately it did not work. I started having problems with my flash programmer saying it couldn't erase the chip, and then whenever it was successful in writing the file to the chip it would fail to verify. Right now all it does is the power button light turns on and off but nothing else happens. I even flashed the original files back but it's doing the same thing.

There are some sellers that sell the bios chips with the bios programmed already. All I would have to do is replace the chips. I may have to go that route.

I think instead of buying a new chip and resold replace. You should go to professionals to fix that issue
explain them you suspect a bios issue (if in your case its fail to update or any bios related error massage or if you sure its a bios issue) Dont take any risk

Having a very similar issue to this although the keyboard only lights up for a few seconds then turns off. What makes you suspect it was the bios chip that was faulty? Also did you end up resolving your issue? Thanks!

                  S/N: PF3B52FQ
                  MTM: 82JD000XGE

The laptop won't start. It does something when you press the power button but after 20-30sec it just turns off again. Keyboard lights up, it charges (charging idicator light lights up), fans are running for a short time, but no display and no boot.

Find attached the UB1-2 and the UB3 dumps I pulled of the machine. I also added the pictures of the chips.

                  Thank you in advance!

Bios chips on my motherboard are:
                  UB1 UB2 Giga Device 25R64CSIG (GD25R64CSIG)
                  UB3 XMC QH128AHIG

I (so far) succesfully used the cheap CH341a programmer in auto detect and without 1.8V adapter, as those chips are 3V.

Thanks! Unfortunetly this didn´t solve my problem. Laptop is still stuck, but this time in stays on all time. I realy have to long press the power button to shut it off. I am investigating this more in the next days.
