    HP 14s-0500sa clean bios and EC request

    Hi Guys, I have an HP 14s-0500sa that blinks power LED once when power button pressed but will not power up. Im hoping is a corrupt bios.
    looking for a clean bios image and EC location to input the EC data from existing bios

    Model:HP 14s-0500sa
    Serial:5CD039CGSC
    BOARD REV:UNKNOWN

      Thanks for the quick reply, the bios file has got the laptop back up and running, Ive put the DMI and windows key in the correct addresses and written it back to the chip and installed. On bootup i get a message telling me the manufacturer state is in unlock mode.
      Any idea how to remove this please

        you are missing the DMI information.. at the post above you received the interval where the DMI information is found, move it from the original bios to the new bios.. use the HxD program... (copy-paste)...

          Yeah, thats been the problem,all fixed now.... i read back the chip and compared it with the one i saved after entering the DMI and product key, for some reason only half was saved when viewed in HxD
