Thank you very much! The "retry+" works fine without SVP error.
I have another one Thinkpad with ncpx897. How I can modify second dump? Is there a patcher or is it manual mode?Leave a comment:

Success! Thank you!! I didn't get a Lenovo splash screen at all so I started systematically tracking when I started to hold and for how long, and the resulting errors and whatnot. Unfortunately the time it worked I had lost my concentration and didn't get exact times, but it ended up being about starting at 3.5 about seconds after and holding for about 4.5 seconds.Leave a comment:

no need to touch the bios.
Take photos of the 1st page and use the utility.
Or if you still have the labels on the motherboard or on the cover
you can recover the numbers with luck
Besides, I don't see your serial number indicated in your posts as the rule indicates.
This could have been useful if you lost it during handlingLast edited by Maxpower3; 02-13-2025, 04:14 PM.Leave a comment:

Maybe start by reading the forum rules and stop sending me private messages.
I already share and give solutions for free here.
Many people told me not to share because part of the community does not deserve these solutions.
Next time I will think twice
Mainboard number, serial number, Ec model
Thanks
Where is it!!Leave a comment:

you corrupted the numbers!.
you didn't check if everything was correctly written in the first page of the bios where you used F10 to exit.
you must read all the information indicated on this thread before doing the manipulation.
use lenovo utility to correct this
2200: Machine Type Invalid and Serial Number are invalid.
0188 : invalid RFID serialisation information area.
Save information befor use utility
bios pictures
and save B0 and C0 if still written in the utility before erasing or modifying the eeprom

im Happy to announce that I managed to delete the supervisor password. my problem was that the ground of the USB were not working good. I took the ground from the frame of the USB and Voilá! it worked like a charm in just a few tries.
but right now I have a problem, when booting, the computer says error 0188 and 2200, any Idea about how to solve it? thanks in advanced.

Mate. I cannot find the right timing, Im using a USB cable, took the pin 4 the one with the black cable, solder to pin 6 and with a switch in the middle. Im trying for several hours and I don't see any improvement I already lifted the pad of the pin 8, I saw your video on youtube and tried to figure out the timings but I cannot nail it. It is after the lenovo logo? before? I saw on your video that you start pressing F1 since you press the power button, am I right? it seems that you push the tip against the pin/pad but I cannot see how much longer nor when in the process. can you give me some linformation? I read that some guy were succesful with a fast short just when lenovo logo comes, but I tried it houndreds of times with no succesful results. Any help would be highly appreciated, I bought this computer with a very good price on Ebay, and it cames with the bios locked (was not in the description). I dont want to return it because it was a very good price. thanks in advanced to everyone who can help me. my Motherboard is the exact same model NM-B471.

Hello MaxPower,
Thanks again for sharing this method. I tested on my laptop but it is high risks, high reward solution . It was a lenovo x380. Of 50 tries on shorting LPC_AD 0 to GND, I managed to get to 2 times in the bios. On the first time, i cleared the Supervisor password and cleared the security ; I have done Ctrl+Alt+Del to exit from bios ; Upo rebooting the bios password was still there. So i managed to get bios a second time. but this time laptop froze when i was redoing clearing supervisor password; It shuts downs ; upon powering on, There was no display not even Lenovo Logo : I think i bricked it ; Should i get a random bios file for Lenovo x380 on the forum to flash it on the pc ? ThanksLeave a comment:
