Manufacturer: Asustek
Model: Y4200DA3500-0D8SXFAJX10
CMITID: 2019AJ2497
Manufacture date: 2019-11 12M
Other SN i'm unsure of: 15105-06839000
There are other serial numbers on the board, but I don't think they really and no the X509DL motherboard doesn't have built in ethernet and I don't believe that it has Bluetooth built in,
This laptop is locked with the boot bios and I've kind of run out of momentum in trying to figure this out myself. The ctrl-r backup password didn't work and using the manufacture date
on the sticker and every other code within 5 months either way from te manufacture date didn't work.
I've been able to pull the bios rom from the chip and have managed to open it with UEFItool, and was able to find the AMITSESetup section within NVRAM. However I was unable to decode
the password into UTF-8 readable text. using the XOR code mentioned in the posts about decoding it. I also tried the SHA256 decode tools and wasn't able to identify a code in the bios there.
Though that doesn't mean it isn't there and could well mean that I was doing something incorrectly. I have probably wasted about five hours trying to figure this out once i extracted the bios
and don't think I'm going to make much progress without assistance.
Any help would be appreciated, be it clearing the password, telling me what the password or even just pointing out where I could possibly have gone wrong as I don't just want to have it fixed (which would be handy)
But I also want to understand the process and where I was going wrong with this.
Thankyou
