I don't think an administrator password will help if the computer won't boot at all? Have I got that part wrong?

      Latitude E6410
      Master Password: 6sDD9MGlsnIlOzGX
For better font use this :

      Password is case sensitive !
Passwords are for QWERTY keyboard only (standard US)
Enter calculated password, Then holding CTRL push ENTER key twice.
If you have admin password only pres ENTER

              Re: Latitude 1F5A

              Hi All

I have an E6410 with a 1F5A service tag and I am locked out because I don't have the BIOS Admin password. None of the free on-line "master password" generators work because it is a 1F5A and I am not chancing £50/$65 on an on-line service.

I checked the mobo over and I don't have the 24C02 Config prom so the "short out two pins with a paperclip" solution is not an option either.

What I have is the 'two chip' mobo - One 25Q32BV and one 25Q64BV which are both SPI FLASH parts (32Mbit & 64Mbit) and these are situated in a hole in the plastic case under the keyboard. eBay have someone in the states selling these two chips and its claimed the contents remove the Admin password.

What I would love is the image files for these two devices so I can re-program them myself and get this damn machine back to a usable state!

If anyone can help, please pm me.

              TIA

              JD

You are correct. Any password is not necessary if the @@@$&&&&@@!!!! thing won't boot :-)
