Here are the 3 potential chips on the board. I can only read the Winbond chip with my CH341A chip reader

The image of the Winbond chip is only 1 mb in size.

            Okay gotcha.

So after much trying I managed to read one chip and it was 16 mb. The other one I can't read at all. It's in the list of NeoProgrammer though. I don't know if my chip reader is bad or if the clips I'm using are a problem.

i might have to order another reader.

Hi guys. I've got an update

I bought a new CH341A programmer and I could still not read the chips with the clip. So I desoldered the chips and succeeded in backing up both chips!

The size of the chips are 8 Mb and 16 Mb which seems to be correct. I assume this is the main bios and the backup bios.

I've downloaded a BIOS update from Lenovo for my specific laptop and attempted to extract the BIOS.

Can you please help / guide me on how to update the bios on these chips? The laptop won't start and I'm suspecting a corrupt BIOS.

              Details of the laptop:

              S/N: PF460YY0
Model: Yoga Slim 7 Pro 14IAH7
              Motherbord: JS47Q NM-E822

              Thanks!

Thank you so much. You're a king! I made sure to donate a few dollars worth of ETH as thanks.

Unfortunately it didn't fix the laptop. I'll continue troubleshooting.

But I am curious how you were able to transfer the DMI. Any guide on that or a few words if it's a simple process?

                  Thanks agian!

                    You're welcome.

Your DMI is inside the 16MB file, starting from offset (40000h) till (44000h).
Is already encrypted but in your case there is no need to decrypt it, you can just copy it from the old file to the new one.
