you are welcome, your text proves once again that you should start knitting ... Yes, NEVER happened to me because I read chipset 2-3 times and compare results, if I have 2 identical it means I have a good backup, now you did learn something you didn't think in your MORE than 10 years experience ... look at this picture and maybe (but slim chances) you'll understand why you have to provide bios backup and serial ... If you ask nicely I will teach you how to extract modules from update package ...

That's cool you should appreciate and respect people those are trying to help you without demanding a single penny
How dare you!!!! 10 years of programming, no no no, MORE than 10 years, thank you. And that the programmer doesn't read a file correct can happen. I'm totally not the first one who that happend to. Except for you ofcourse, because you must be the best of the best......of the best..........your simply the best, better than all the rest..............
Nope, in all those years I never needed to build a bios image from scratch, because the site where you pay money for has the files provided, and when something goes wrong, they will not help, because they only share the files, unlock them, and build them. I Mostly using HxD to copy DMI and Windows key, and sometims clear me. I mostly repair motherboard on componend level, and I don't have much to do with bios related problems. Mostly motherboards with short circuit, replacing PCH, CPU, GPU, VRAM, all other important IC chips, and mainly repairing traces. Also replacing EC, and if necessary programming the EC.
Also on the paid site you don't have that kind of rules like here, so that's also new for me, so just chill, somethimes things go different in live, but remember where here just talking about bios files, it's not the and of the world. You are so frustrated that it isn't healthy.
But thank you enyway for giving me information about all modules in bios upate package, and taking the effort to share picture. You informed me about Cv3, and Cv3plus, so I think I need to look further for another package. I will look in to that, and I also check the rules of this site.

Would you please be so kind to teach me how to extract modules form update package, because that's for sure a thing I don't understand, and I'm willing to teach. And yes, compare file results would be the best and safest way of checking a file, but I didn't, because I never did run into this problem before with the new programmers. When using the older EZP I whas more aware of it, and I need to do that again with this type of model laptop. Also I check ME for corporate and consumer, but always consumer. Even when I worked at a company where we fixed motherboards from laptops it whas ME consumer, because it always where consumer laptops. For this model I see only ME corporate on paid site, and also on this site when downloading files. And I must be honest that I spend some time to find ME 16v online, but I couldn't find it, so I couldn't play with files.

So, now you showed me something I don't know nothing about, so if you are still up for it, than please teach me.

I'm in for that, and I show you respect, but I don't accept to be approached like I'm stupid. I do a lot for free for people in my life, and in my neighbourhood I'm also known for that, but if I would right away show frustration, than it wouldn't benefit enybody. People are different, communicate different, and need to find eachother in what they need, and want.Comment

Download Bios_Utilities from github by master platomav, install Python (you have in Readme the command), download update exe from Dell site, move it to Bios_Utilities, rename it without dots or spaces (i.e Latitude_5440_Precision_3480_1.16.0.exe to Latitude_5440_Precision_3480_1_16_0.exe) and use Dell_PFS_Extract.py in cmd ( Dell_PFS_Extract.py [space] Latitude_5440_Precision_3480_1_16_0.exe.) You have to merge 32Mb and 16Mb files to have full bios image then use MFIT 16.1 to decompose full bios image then replace Bios_rgn and ME_Subpartition with ones extracted from update, renaming them as in Decompose folder ( bios_region as BiosPlugin#BiosRegion.bin and ME firmware as ME Sub Partition.bin) Then hit Built tab, MFIT will split bios image in 2 files, one for 32Mb and another for 16Mb chipsets.

Thank you very much for the messages. Tomorrow, or teusday I will take time to walk through the steps that you explained, and I will message you back to let you know if I managed to build a bios.
The factory bios mode files that I got from qayyum786 did'nt work, so this motherboard is a good test object.

I tried your files, but they didn't work. With all files I got same result. Only Dell logo with 'Secured with Dell safebios'. Also fan spin is high.
Also I tried to go through the steps, but I can use some extra information/class. Would you like to help me? You tell to install python and that the command is in the readme file. Does this mean that while installing python I need to use a command during the install, or are the commands needed later on when opening python? The readme file is full of information, and it's not clear to me what is command is important. For now I just installed python 3.13.
I downloaded Dell update bios, placed in BIOSUtilitie, and renamed it. Went to CMD, but the command is not recognized as an internal or external command. So, I'm doing it wrong, and it seems that it's good to already have some knowladge how to use python, and also I need to find MFit 16.1.Comment
