Hello, can enyone help me with two clean files for the LA-M401P?
I need a new 16mb bios factory mode file with no dmi or service tag, and a 32mb main bios file.

I mean bios factory mode file. I saw that gayyum786 shared these files on the page called ' Dell latitude 5440 la-m402p rev 1.0(A00)'
You can see what he shered under message #7
gayyum786 says 'Here is your new bios factory mode (No dmi or service tag add it manually)'.

I tried to remove password, so I paid for file on Vinafix. After flashing there was still a bios password. So not so very smart I flashed the 16mb fil, and that didn't work. So I flashed back the original files, but then I saw that the safed file of the 16mb whas bad. So therefore I try to get clean, not used files, and I thought by reading the post from gayyum786 for the LA-M402P, that there must be also factory mode files for the LA-M401P. Asking for support on Vinafix whas a bad experience, so I turned to you badcap users.

both chipsets, bios is split in both. Man, you are something, you said "then I saw that the safed file of the 16mb whas bad" and you don't upload it! You want help but don't provide what is necessary to help you.

Then I saw that the safed file of the 16mb whas bad, means there whas nothing in the file when I checked it in HxD. So yes, I'm something, but maybe you have bios factory mod with ME corporate, and ME consumer, and cv3 or cv3plus.

sure, and I have to guess that 16mb is empty ...

You told me: 'as I said, upload your bios backup', so I thought you understood that my file wasn't usable, and that you just wanted me to upload one file 'bios backup'. You didn't ask for 'bios backupS', so multiple files.

It seems that you are very annoyed with me. Maybe you can keep in mind that sometimes it takes a little bit more to get to the same point. No need to act up!

I just told you that bios is split in both chipsets so ... bios backup-singular! but let's talk semantics, for sure this will make your laptop working ...

Yes, you did. Still I thought I did what you asked me, and that you did understand that if I say 16mb is bad, that it's not usable, and that's why I ask for bios factory mode files. So, that's why I tell you to keep in mind that sometimes it takes a little bit more to get to the same point. We are just two humans who try to understand eachother.
You already know my situation, but you still don't seem to provide me with different files I can test. But rather you like to send messages to share your frustrations, and yes, that will not help me to make the laptop work.

Thank you for your time. I will put out another request to see if somebody can help me.

                                  Hello Badcaps users,

Does enybody has bios factory mode files for me that I can test for motherboard LA-M401P?
I don't have the original 16mb file, so I don't know if the file needs to be ME corporate, or ME consumer. Maybe you can provide me with different sets of the 16mb, and 32mb files that I can use to test.

                                  I only have 32mb file.
                                  ST: C940GY3

lol, I'm frustrated because you are not able to read a bios chipset, sure! And I'm also frustrated because you are not able to explain clearly what is your laptop's problem, "bad" means in no way empty! I'm also frustrated because you are not able to understand basic English and READ THE RULES of this forum.

                                      - I'm able to read a bios chipset. I programm for more then 10 years. Started with simple EZP, and now heaving fun with the XGecu PRO, using HxD, using ME analyzer v1.307.0 r353 (yes, latest version), Flash image tool. Also use different commends in ME Analyzer, for example to check that the touchscreen settings are correct, after changing settings in Flash imag tool. So no problem with all of that. Only problem I had whas saving a 'bad' file, and therefore needed clean files, bios factory mode files.
                                      - You didn't ask what I ment with 'bad', and you say bad means in no way empty, but that's just your opinion.
                                      - I explained what happend, but you only responded with: 'as I said, upload your bios backup ...'. Sir yes Sir!
                                      - I understand basic English, but it seems that you only can act on the way you know, so if someone sends you a file. If you understood what bios factory mode files are, than you wouldn't act so frustrated. You just asumed that you could use the 'bad' file.

It doesn't metter any more, because watch how gayyum786 reacted to my qeustion on the other page 'Dell latitude 5440 la-m402p rev 1.0(A00)'...........

Hopefully you recover, and next time make a choice for the better. If you feel that you are frustrated so quick, don't try to 'help', because as it seems you are only in for showing your frustrations, and I just wanted files.

                                      A semantic goodbey to you!

10 years of programming yet you read chipsets "bad" 10 years of using bios tools yet you don't know how to build a bios image from scratch having ALL modules in bios update package, see photo! Sure, is my duty to ask you what you mean by "bad", because I am asking for help! You "explained what happened" whining that you get conned by a paid site instead of reading rules and post bios backup and service tag, as in RULES! Quit "programming" and start knitting!

How dare you!!!! 10 years of programming, no no no, MORE than 10 years, thank you. And that the programmer doesn't read a file correct can happen. I'm totally not the first one who that happend to. Except for you ofcourse, because you must be the best of the best......of the best..........your simply the best, better than all the rest..............
Nope, in all those years I never needed to build a bios image from scratch, because the site where you pay money for has the files provided, and when something goes wrong, they will not help, because they only share the files, unlock them, and build them. I Mostly using HxD to copy DMI and Windows key, and sometims clear me. I mostly repair motherboard on componend level, and I don't have much to do with bios related problems. Mostly motherboards with short circuit, replacing PCH, CPU, GPU, VRAM, all other important IC chips, and mainly repairing traces. Also replacing EC, and if necessary programming the EC.
Also on the paid site you don't have that kind of rules like here, so that's also new for me, so just chill, somethimes things go different in live, but remember where here just talking about bios files, it's not the and of the world. You are so frustrated that it isn't healthy.
But thank you enyway for giving me information about all modules in bios upate package, and taking the effort to share picture. You informed me about Cv3, and Cv3plus, so I think I need to look further for another package. I will look in to that, and I also check the rules of this site.
