I noticed there's a lot of unlock request for this model HP ProBook 455 G9
The patch won't work if the bios version is latest. use this bin flash both it won't work if you only flash the main you should Flash Both.
first boot press f10 apply factory defaults and restart, 2nd boot reset security settings to defaults and exit.
use BCU and put your original DMI.
    frequently asked questions:
can i use this to my HP ProBook 455 G9- yes

This is the both BID U78 and U88 its all you need.
This bios main is from official website then added VSSTORE and patched so its fast-boot just like intel clearme.
to determine your BID use hex editor and search U88 or U78 in your main bios bin, you know the rest.

Thanks rex98. I confirm it is working fine.
Took me almost half a day to to write the chips because is not easy to me to unsolder them from MB and put them back without damaging plastic around them.
What would be the bios version that will require patching only main chip?
also to put original DMI I was using BCU but I was not sure if I could use the original one to write the settings or only some settings? What do you recommend?

thanks, I have those information as well, except MAC address.

If the bios version is not new (08/11/2022), can I only patch the main chip?

use Kapton tape for plastic parts around bios chipsets. Since March 2024 HP changed security and models with bios newer than March 2024 can't be patched to enter mpm. Rex98 files are very good to unlock HPs, update bios in steps - use a version from 2023, then other from 2024 and so on. Personally I use files where they updated ME versions, I had a update failure when I tried to update directly to last version. MAC Adress is on a label on motherboard, as well as CT.

I've flash the main chip, hopping I will not have to flash the SPI chip (is not easy for me to attach wires or removed from motherboard) and now laptop doesn't boot. There were several attempts to start (looking on the power LED) but nothing on the screen.
Then I've flash both chips but still nothing is happening.

When I plug in the power cable, CapsLock LED and power LED (key) does light 4 seconds, then power LED (key) turn off and NumKey LED + LED from charging port, light for ~2 seconds then nothing else is happening.

With or without DDR same behavior.

Any way I can make it boot again?

yep, you wrote 1st main then power up laptop, didn't work so you wrote EC without writing again main, right? You tried to reinvent the wheel this time...
Rex explained to you that you have to write BOTH IN SAME TIME, then power up laptop. You are the kind that you find a problem for every solution ...

I've used T48 (I am looking to buy a Vertyanov Successor Programmer or a svod4 programmer but dont know which one to pick and where to buy from ; I will appreciate if you can help here too).
With T48 before programming, there is an erase step which took ~100seconds.
On this laptop, I've programed the main chip without removing the chip from motherboard and connected the CMOS battery otherwise an error in the verify stage would appear.

One think I will try is to remove the main chip on the motherboard and try try again.

First laptop I program both chips (main removed from motherboard and the SPI programmed using wires on motherboard; I am not so skilled with hot-gun as of now) and did worked eventually.

If there is a way to fix the current issue on this laptop which is not booting, please let me know

                          Thanks

Is there any way to program the EC without pulling out from motherboard?
I am able to read it using T48 but I am not able to erase it properly.
                                  SVOD4 is not able to recognize it show " status register 1 0XFF " & "status register 2 0XFF "
CH 341 is not able to provide enough current so does disconnect the programmer once I connect the wires.

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

                                        TONGFANG "GM7TG7P" Bios Password Problem?

                                        Hello,

I'm using TONGFANG "GM7TG7P" model laptop for over 3 years and i'm entering the same bios administrator password everyday. My laptop has Aptio BIOS (American Megatrends, AMI).

But today it's not accepting my password. I'm %100 sure i'm entering the correct password.

I'm trying to reset my bios without success.

                                        I tried :

-I removed the BIOS battery and main battery. Waited for a long time but it didn't work. They already stated in the user manual that the password will not be reset even if the batteries...

Hello everyone, I come here to tell you my problem regarding the power-on password. It is not a bios reset demand, and i can't have any access to windows. This is the bios and power-on password that is blocking all other things.

My Omen 15-dh0052nf purchased second-hand was configured with the bios password upon purchase (very simple password :P ).

Having decided to sell it in order to get something more powerful, I reset all BIOS settings and set a blank administrator password. But the power-on password cannot be changed to a blank one so I let the actual password set....

I removed the BIOS password thanks to the help of one of the friends of this forum.

The batch from which the password was removed works correctly but... after some time, the BIOS password is set again, I reprogrammed the batch with the removed password, it's ok, there is no password, I set my password, ok, I can enter the BIOS with my password but...
