[REQUEST] Modify BIOS version of dumped image(Panasonic CF-RZ6)

    Hello.

I keep tried unlocking FIVR lock(XTU, Throttlestop) to do undervolting, but failed. What I tired is...

    1. Unlocked hidden menu >>> Disabled CFG lock, Overlock lock, SGX
    2. Replaced CPU microcode to 2017, 2018 version (pre Spectre, Plundervolt)
    3. Disabled Intel ME, Hyper-V & Vt-d
    4. Removed microcode update of Windows(mcupdate_GenuineIntel.dll)
    5. Try from fresh Win 8.1(boot with USB)

Even I already did all of above, XTU and Throttlestop is still locked. So I think what I can do is downgrade the BIOS version, but Panasonic does not provide the BIOS image file and gives only installer(I checked with 7z, but there was no perfect image file).

Is there any way to modify the BIOS version to spoof the installer for downgrade?

Here is my dump and version is showing as V2.00L30 in BIOS.

Solved by patching BIOS installer with IDA Free.

need help to modify a bios dumped from set-top box
        by jason0503
The set-top box has a TV silicon tuner IC MXL608, which has a programmable channel selection filter (6MHz/7MHz/8MHz), and the default value is 8MHZ, but the manufacturer sets the set-top box to 6MHZ. How can I change this value by modifying the dumped bios? I tried using UEFITool.exe, but it doesn't work. The BIOS of the TV box is different from that of the computer. I don't know how to modify it or what tool to use. I downloaded the data sheet of MXL608, which mentioned that when the value of SYMBOL is set to 2.85, BW=6MHZ. When the value of SYMBOL is 3.75, BW=8MHZ, but I can't find the corresponding...

Cannot modify HP Envy 15 ep-00008na BIOS
        by Kenzi
        Hi everyone,

I'm trying to modify my BIOS to unlock the advanced menus and unlock the processor power limits. The first thing I have tried is reading the BIOS from the laptop and opening it up in amibcp, and changing the advanced menu to User. However, no matter what tiny change I make to the BIOS, when I flash it back to the laptop with a programmer it says there is corruption and the BIOS needs to be recovered.

I've also tried rolling back the BIOS to an older version. I made the mistake of updating to the latest version and now I cannot even edit the CFG and OC...

        🛠️ MSI GP75 Leopard MS-17E71 – No Display, Deep BIOS/EC Troubleshooting
        by macabook
        Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
        🧩 Initial Issue
        • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
        • External display (HDMI) shows

[Problem/ Request] Bricked TongFang GK7MRFR BIOS
        by cr4zychriss
        Hello everyone,
I am requesting urgent assistance to unbrick my laptop, a rebranded TongFang GK7MRFR chassis. The laptop is completely dead following a faulty in-OS EC flash attempt.
I have successfully used a CH341A programmer and can read/write/verify both flash chips, but using my backups/extractions has failed to restore power. The root cause is likely a corrupted Intel Management Engine (ME) region or an incompatible EC/BIOS pairing. System & Hardware Details

Lenovo Thinkcentre M75n DMI Data extraction from dumped BIOS
        by Kentsfield
        Hi,

        I got a Lenovo Thinkcentre M75n (MT-M 11G5 PF3XG5V3) with a semi-bricked bios.

Short recap: I want to add an external GPU via the M.2 slot (Oculink). It does work but has some problems with the onboard GPU of the Ryzen 3 3300U. So I used Smokeless_UMAF to disable it. Since then I don't get any video via the external GPU nor the iGPU and Can't access the BIOS, but the PC does boot to the OS.

I desoldered the flash IC MX25U12872F and dumped the flash.

I also downloaded the newest BIOS and have it as a .bin file (I loosely compared the contents...
