hp 840 g8 bios password proplem.lock please help
Hello badcaps family. I have the rt809f bios programmer. I need help for my HP 840 G8 laptop. There is a password in the bios. That's why I can't do anything. Can I write bios or ec with rt809f? Please help. I need your ideas.
I removed the bios chip, but I do not have a bios device to write this. What can I do? What device do I need to buy to write the rt809f bios?Comment

I remove password by mod the chip near the EC, the password gone, but now I have error message "HP Endpoint Security Controller Problem", how to solve this?

of course i try with RCU, but do not work with 32mo..
I have both chip W25Q256 (front) + W25Q256 (back)
both are in .zip file

Hope you all are doing well. I come here from Win-Raid because I am having issues disabling Flash Protection Range Registers so I can flash my BIOS from within Windows using Intel's IFW tool/using flashrom within Linux, however I cannot due to the above mentioned error.

Apologies if this is the wrong forum, but I'm not looking for a specific BIOS file, I'm trying to understand how one makes a clean BIOS file. So here's the background. I have 2 HP EliteDesk 800 g2 mini 35w pcs. One is working fine; the other doesn't have display out or working USB's nor does it have any flashing error lights. The CPU does get worm enough to cause the fan to spin up, so I think it's posting, but I just don't know. I had it working at one point but trouble started when I tried to put in a drive caddy that had a cooling fan on it. I thought it would be compatible but wasn't... -

I have HUAWEI MateBook X Pro 2019 (MACH-WX9) whose BIOS got corrupted i beleive. I have acquired Ch341A SPI flasher to program the BIOS externally. I see that to program the BIOS, i need BIOS bin/hex file which i could use to reflash it externally via the flasher tool.
It seems like the support page of this model no longer exist: https://consumer.huawei.com/be/lapto...ro-2019/specs/
In the website, you can only see specs etc.
I have not tried to extract the BIOS dump yet as I want to see if there is any ray of sunshine... -
Hi folks,
I got a Dell Optiplex 7010 micro PC (Exact Model) with 8FC8 BIOS and locked out admin password. I attempted to remove the password by patching the BIOS via info from this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...ssword-patcher
After flashing the patched the BIOS, the PC is unresponsive with a solid AMBER power LED (not documented in manual anywhere)
Steps I took:- Read BIOS with CH341a, verified hash twice
