The user manual for BCU says this:

● Replicate BIOS settings across multiple client computers
I'm wondering how you get rid of intel ME and still have the computer work, possibly by modifying the BIOS file with a hex editor. No way BCU would let you disable Intel ME as it's an hp software.Comment

Hi, recently after Bios update my laptop went into Intel ME Firmware Recovery Mode which makes microphone not detected and very long Windows loading time. I repeated Bios upgrade to no avail. I even replace Bios chip to no avail. I suspect Bios corruption.

Hope you all are doing well. I come here from Win-Raid because I am having issues disabling Flash Protection Range Registers so I can flash my BIOS from within Windows using Intel's IFW tool/using flashrom within Linux, however I cannot due to the above mentioned error.

Hi folks,
I got a Dell Optiplex 7010 micro PC (Exact Model) with 8FC8 BIOS and locked out admin password. I attempted to remove the password by patching the BIOS via info from this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...ssword-patcher
After flashing the patched the BIOS, the PC is unresponsive with a solid AMBER power LED (not documented in manual anywhere)
Steps I took:- Read BIOS with CH341a, verified hash twice

Hi there,
I have a 14" Lenovo Laptop (Flex 5 14ALC05) which has a boot issue.
The little LED on the power button is flashing slowly and nothing happen.
This unit do not have any BIOS button cell battery so I tried many times draining the power but it is still not powering on.
So I decided to flash the BIOS using a cheap programmer.
And I was successfully able to read the content (exactly 16MB file) which BTW is a WINBOND 74m12jwsiq (according to the package inscription - but detected as W25Q128FW in the software - IMSProg on Linux)

I am trying to repair a Dahua NVR4216-4KS2 that is not booting.
The main BIOS/firmware is stored in an SPI flash EEPROM (Winbond 25Q128, labeled as U130 on the PCB).
I have a CH341A programmer and I already attempted the following steps:- Identified the correct chip (W25Q128, 3.3V SPI flash).
- Tried to read the contents with CH341A Programmer software. The dump seems corrupted and I often get the error: “Chip with the contents are in disagreement.”
- Compared several chip type selections (24Cxx and 25Qxx families) to confirm it is indeed a 25 series SPI
