Unfortunately, the bios is damaged (one of the legs is missing) and the programmer does not want to read it. I don't know what kind of model it is. That's why I'm looking for the exact bios model if possible to order it from China and then reprogram it.

Post a picure of the damaged chip.Even if the leg has broken off flush it could still be possible to solder a very thin wire onto the exposed metal

On the picture are okay, when we tried to test it on the programmer, the bios wasn't responding at all. So we think it's damaged and will be not able to fix it. So we order one from china, but we need the bios dump file for this model.

What about the bios file?

the chip seems ok.. remove the chip from the motherboard before writing or reading, if you use the clip you may have errors.. if you don't have anything to remove it, stick wires between the chip and the programmer ..read it again and post the content..at the moment do not buy any chip, try to extract the content from it..

check again if you wrote the name and model of the laptop correctly and the S/N... post the original bios even if it is corrupted..

The post above yours is a virgin bios. The bios version is the same as yours, BID088F4 .You can use that bios and then copy your DMI info to it, or you can get and extract a virgin bios yourself by reading the HP guides.

Copy the DMI (serial,feature Byte,win key) from your backup to the virgin bios using a hex editor.Select the same offsets (select block in HxD) in both bios,copy from the old,paste to the new.

Offsets: 701000 - 70203F and 786000 - 78603F
