Hi folks!
I own a Lenovo Ideapad 100-15IBD with BIOS updated to the most recent version E0CN63WW.
I've seen that it's possible to access advanced BIOS by pressing some obscure key combinations, depending on the laptop model. Unfortunately I'm unable to find the method that would work for my machine. Is it somehow possible to activate this BIOS mode via dumping/reflashing? I'm green in these areas but willing to give it a try. I've got both Windows and GNU/Linux installed there. Could you guide me please? If you wish I can send the BIOS dump (if it's possible to do from the userspace).
The bios updater.exe contains these files, there's no BIOS image in plain sight:
Ding.wav FWUpdLcl.exe FlsHook.exe FlsHookDll.dll H2OFFT-W.exe WIN.fd iscflash.dll iscflash.sys iscflashx64.sys platform.ini sfx_script_E0CN63WW.txt xerces-c_2_7.dll
Best regardsComment

a long time ago I asked for this bios for a 100-15IBD 80QQ
with SN: PF0Q50J1, MTM: 80QQ01GCGE.
Only now have I realised that the bios file offered for download had a different name (15IJB).
Was it the correct one and just misspelled? possibly my mistake back then?
Can this be checked retrospectively? I still have the old laptop here, if it wasn't the correct one, I would like to try again.
Best regards

Hmm,
Previously, the power LED, charging light and camera LED were constantly lit, but no boot process and no fan.
Now the power LED and the charging light are also lit, but second flash briefly every 5 seconds or go out for a very brief moment.
What no longer lights up is the camera LED. There seems to be a change, but unfortunately no boot possible so far.
I have left the power supply connected for longer and now the charging LED is also white, previously orange.
On the USB Ports no power. What else could I do?
Best regards

restarts every 7 seconds or so with no display. Tried hard reset etc. but no luck. Resistance to ground seems ok on all coils. Could be corrupted ME region of bios.
Can someone please assist with cleaning the ME region of the bios...info attached below.

Thanks for your reply.
I tried the bios at post #2 but the same thing is happening. Just keeps restarting every few seconds including the fan, it spins every four seconds repeatedly. Power button does not shut it down.Comment

Hello guys, I need a bit of help with Lenovo Ideapad 100-15IBD bios ( I think ).
The laptop turns on, power light and battery charging turn on, hard drive spins ....but no display, reading here on forums I tested the voltages and everything checks on, CPU gets warm and 1.8 volts.
One of my suspicions is that the BIOS got corrupted , but I don t know where to get a clean one and also how to write the DMI with my information in the generic BIOS.
I used the CH341A to download the current bios.
The laptop info: Lenovo Ideapad 100-15IBD
Model name : 80QQ
S/N: PF0K1F6U
MTM:80QQ00JGUS
Factory ID: JVHFC1
Can I please get some help or directions regarding this BIOS, I attached my current BIOS.
Thank you and I appreciate it.Attached FilesComment

I see that the rar file contains 2 bin files one the BIOS and one called EC.bin, what is the EC.bin for?
Sorry if I seem a bit clueless.
I read about EC and now I know what it is and where it is is the square ITC chip with Lenovo branding on it .......hmmmm it starts to get a bit out of my skill range if I want to flash that one or replace it.
I flashed the BIOS 3 times same issue PC starts but same no display I think I have a different issue.
Thank you guys I will move to the motherboard threads.Comment

I was reading around the internet about the Lenovo Ideeapad 100 BIOS issues and some people are using a CLEAN.bios to delete te ME remnants from the BIOS who otherwise would not be overwritten by a classic BIOS update procedure.
Do you guys have any insights?
Thank you.Comment

by jendkkd jejeSo a couple of years ago i got a bios update through Lenovo Vantage, so i installed it and bricked my whole BIOS, so i couldn't fix it so i put that ideapad in a box, 3 years later i found that one PC and want to recover it to switch from a 2014 hp laptop to this one.
I found a method to recover the BIOS of many lenovo laptops tha consists in pluging in a USB Flash with the BIOS files and power on the laptop with Fn + R keys pressed until fans go loud and start beeping loud, but nothing worked, so i think filename is wrong, i tried naming the bios file as 07WW.BIN, BIOS.BIN, BIOS.fd,...10-11-2024, 03:12 PM -
by WahazHello,
I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....-

by grimacelordHello there.
I am working on a Lenovo Legion T5-26AMR5 desktop that currently has a corrupt BIOS and I have been unsuccessful thus far in trying to fix it myself.
History:
1. This computer came to me initially with an error message that said "BiInitializeLibrary failed 0xc0000001" or "0135 fan error". It would always be one of the two errors. It should be noted that when it produced the fan error, there was no physical problem with the fans. They were all spinning just fine.
I searched for this error online and discovered...-

by Popel1083Hi,
I want to remove the Bios Password of my Lenovo IdeaPad U330p with the Lenovo autopatcher. I have the CH341A Black and I'm using NeoProgrammer. The Programmer has an LED that indecates when it reads or writes the Chip. When I try to Connect my Programmer to the Bios Chip (Winbond 25Q64FVSIQ) the LED lights up even though I didn't click on Detect botton in NeoProgrammer. If i click on Detect the LED still remains on and NeoProgrammer says "IC not responding".
