post the original contents of the bios chip..

you need an SPI programmer...here is a video for example..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWWi...nnel=ThisIsHow

Due to a lack of donations, server free space at a critical level, and possible closure of Bios Requests all donations are welcome, click:

      >>>>> https://www.badcaps.net/index.php?pageid=donate1 <<<<<

Every donation made will go towards server fees and maintenance costs.

This seems scary to me, but I've been around a long time - have an A+ from back in the day, and I prefer this much more affordable option to paying for a new system board.
So my first question is - the Youtube video comments suggest I could use a soic8 clip and not have to remove the chip from the board. Something like this? https://a.co/d/dQwCX7t
I'm not sure if that's valid for my particular system, but I would prefer that - otherwise I need to purchase more equipment for removing and replacing the chip. I might need some helpful suggestions on the right tools for the job if that is the case - heat gun etc?. Also, do you know of a valid link for the software that I would need to read the chip? Seems the link in that video is dead. Thanks for your help!
