the notebook had liquid damage. i cleaned everything. the damage included the typical spot on the right audio port, but no short on the ppbus_g3h. there was also corrosion on the pmc. the notebook only worked (both before and after cleaning) in safe mode. in verbose mode the device shows that it can't load the igpu firmware and then crashes/restarts with kernel panic. the measurements are unremarkable, all rails are there. in safe mode the devices that can be controlled work fine. i wonder if anyone has had this problem
. maybe the liquid damage is just coincidence, because the cpu tends to fail on these devices...
