Dell Inspiron 3521 turns on fan spins and then strange beeping from speakers

Hi,

I have a Dell Inspiron 3521 that powers in but I get nothing on the display and there is a continuous beeping from the speakers that doesnt sound like any beep code ive heard before. see attached video. Any ideas are welcome.

I hear 1 beep only, that means bios issue. did you tried a new bios?

I havent tried a new Bios. do you mean reprogram the bios chip manually?

God, Inspiron 3521. Seriously? There's BIOS dumps for them everywhere. You have to program both chips, it has two. And also ENE KB has firmware but that rarely gets corrupted. Most of the times a good BIOS solves the issue you are facing. But you have to flash both chips.

Thanks, i shall have to get a USB Programmer as i dont have one. will then do the bios reprogram and report back.

After flashing the bios im now getting 8 beeps. About to check the LVDS Cable.

Was the screen connected when turning on??
