    iPhone 5 bootlooping

    Hey everyone,

Working on an iPhone 5, came in for data recovery.

Phone booted straight into recovery mode, connected it to 3uTools, used "exit recovery mode", and since then it just bootloops. I get the Apple logo, after a good 5 to 10 seconds, then power gets cut and the logo fades.

Took it out of the housing, only battery, chargeport and screen connected, same issue. took off the heatshield to measure a bit, but I'm not experienced with iPhone 5 so no clue what to check first.

With a thermal cam I could see L2 heats up to about 45c, and sometimes the U7 chip next to get get a little heatspot close to it. Connected to a power supply it never draws more then 0.29a.

Where do I go from here? What should I measure? Thanx in advance!

Could someone tell me what the regular resistance to ground on PP_VCC_MAIN should be by any chance?

Hey! Thanx for the reply, I've checked the area and everything is present. The board is pretty much in mint condition, except for me removing the heatshield.

Hi. you need to check tristar (u2) thermal camera.

Under the thermal cam only the L2 is getting hot, and the U7 a little bit. The tristar doesn't seem to heat up. Also the tristar tester gave no issue.

Do you have schematics for this phone you can post here?

              Remove all power and battery.

              Meter in resistance mode.

What is the resistance to ground of this L2 inductor?

I came across that forum post, there they measure a short, as far as I can tell I don't have a short.

I'm working in ZXW so I don't think I can share The boardnumber of the schematic I'm working of is 820-3141-B.

                Resistance is 0.168 to ground.
