Hi all, i have a problem with mentioned board. I know that there was a liquid damage on U6600 and U6610 and there was short on 3.3V i have 2.8V and Q6100 was overheating. I change all of mention components and some aditional but no luck. After detail cleaning a have manage to get stable 3.3V and 5V. Now when i connect charger i have only short power LED blink and thats all. And voltage on Q6100 is about 0.87V (lower than needed). I tried to change Q6000, Q6001, U6000, U6200 but is the same. Any hint, what to try?

Start with sheet 5 of the schematic = charger IC @ U6000.
Review the DCIN mosfets @ Q6010 & Q6011. Often the 2nd mosfet gets damaged.
Confirm the voltages on each of these mosfets (source ; drain; gate).
A good idea to also, with great care, measure the voltages on each pin of U6000 charger IC.
Post your measurements. -
Re: Hp 840 g1 6050a2560201-mb-a03
Thanks in advanced. This is measurments:
Q6010 D - 19.47 S - 19.47 G - 6,12
Q6011 D - 19.47 S - 19.47 G - 25.6
And this is the measurment on "good" board (have problem with 3.3 and 5 rails) But have good voltage on Q6100 ~ 1.3V
Q6010 D - 19.47 S - 19.47 G - 6,12
Q6011 D - 19.47 S - 19.47 G - 25.6Comment

by BartoloniHi i just received this HP Laptop, the issue is that the power charger is not charging the battery, it show that is on charge, but the % is not increasing...
customer says also that the laptop is shutting down by itself after a while..
checking first mosfets i found that Q6011 (RQ3E080BNFU7TB) has a drop voltage of 0V, no diode junction visible, 4 ohms of resistance from gate-source
surely i will replace it... but i don't have any similar mosfet... and i read somewhere that on this kind of laptop these mosfet after replaced are heating a lot... (and probably is... -

my laptop hp 15SBGV2D-6050A2548101-MB-A02 does not turn on right now.
If you make a direct connection from the first mosfet source to drain, it turns on, but if you put the battery in, a short circuit appears in the source.
Turns on and works perfectly just connected to the battery and connected to the charger but both (battery and charger appears short circuit in the source and the first mosfet heats up and starts to smoke. (this without the first mosfet)
If you put the first mosfet, the gate oscillates between 5v and 15v,... -
by cinkoxidHi guys,
I wanted to test a DC adapter and I plugged it into my device and then I immediately smelled the cooked component. I cheked the adapter again and I discovered that it's not a DC but a 24V AC adapter
I took apart my tester and I think I found which component burned but I can't identify it for sure and I'm not sure where could i buy a replacement part which is the same or has similar features.
I attached a few pictures of the component. I think it's a voltage regulator but some of the markings on the component are burned.

Hp Elitebook 8470p restart with ram installed, or if I touch on the step down 3v/5v section (pic attached)
However if I remove ram or any ram, it continue to carry on.
