    MacBook Air 820-3437-b upgrade ram from 4GB to 8GB

    Hi,
    I would like upgrade ram of 820-3437-b from 4GB to 8GB.
    on board there is "hynix" H9CCNNN8JTAL I have "hynix" H9CCNNNBLTBL.
    this ram Is compatible and is enugh change RAMCFG2 from L to H or i need also bios modified?

    Good question but believe the strapping is all that is needed. Do not know for sure about the bios. We did outsource this service to Malaysia (youtube contact) for an iMAC in the past - they definitely did some strap moves to pimp up the logic board to 16GB. All in all worked well for about a year - then would not power up. We have the unit back and did attempt a proper reflow of the memory ICs with our BGA workstation but still no luck to allow for the proper boot.

    For us, on the imac - led #1 and #2 are now solid ON but no other. led # 3 = MEMORY for this A1419 unit. Work for another day...
